Morning all.
Well, we went to Hamerton Zoo yesterday but wouldn't go back. I think if it was on a really dry day it would be ok, but one of the big attractions that we had been told about was the great play area. It was waterlogged and we were up to our ankles in muck! All the pieces of equipment had a huge muddy puddle around them. We just found it wasn't great compared to other zoos we have been to. At least we just paid £25.20 for the 4 of us to get in. ( Prices due to go up on 1st March 2011).
The animals are good, beautiful owls, but we didn't see any animal feeding or keeper talks. There may have been, but there was no info up anywhere, you had to buy a brochure for about £2.50 which may have had info about that in there. Every other zoo we have ever been to, would at least give a free map and keeper talk times. Not that you would need a map there........ you could walk round and see it all within about half an hour!
Anyhoo. We were back home by about 2,30pm!!!!! Just spent an afternoon playing with the kids upstairs while DH dozed on the sofa watching the news. Then he bought us a takeaway for tea!!!!! That made us very happy.
JAckieO, glad your arm is improving.
Today, not much happening. Very wet here, so DH will go out to the gym and I just need to find some things to clean and tidy to make myself look busy with dh off work today IYSWIM!!!! I'm very busy lots of days, but he's off and the house is quite clean and tidy, and cba to do much, but don't want him to think that as a SAHM I just sit on my behind all day. LOL
LO spag bol for luch then whatever I can find for the girls and I for tea as dh plays football tonight.
Hugs to all who need them, especially RR.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

JG - I'm pregnant atm and the rules on what you can and can't eat have all changed again! My midwife gave me this link as a guide http://www.babyworld.co.uk/information/pregnancy/health/eating/is_it_safe.asp but I don't know what's low GI and what isn't I'm afraid.
This is great! i looked for an hour this morning... even the NHS and FSA don't have such detailed lists! Thank you so much!

I got up at 6.40am to do it and OMG it's killer :eek: As the week goes on it's harder and harder to doMight get up and do some yoga tomorrow as I don't think my arms will cope with push up again tomorrow
Working today so can't stop long. Wet and dull here, just what you want with kids trapped in the house
No real plans today, just be keeping kids entertained.
Tea tonight will be pasta, bacon, courgette in cheese sauce I have a glut of milk to do something with.
esmf - enjoy your day out, hope your migraine eases soon xx I have to say if you're taking stuff like paracetamol, co-codamol etc these can actually prolong some headaches so you might want to try taking ibuprophen (sp?) instead perhaps? My doc told me this when I had a bad headache for a week that wouldn't shift.
rosie - I would complain to the management, £25 is a lot of money for something you could walk round in half an hour and with such poor information tsk tsk
tru - hope miss tru gets her act together before she's out on her 'arrisHow's the kitchen going?

Morning All,
JG I have been having peanut butter would that be ok??
RR glad you had a chill this morning
Can't believe I have only just got up. Will go into the local town today with DS3. He is on the look out for a new phone as the one he has is 'embarrassing' anyway he has saved up so I don't mind him spending his own money. Also need to pop into the bank and Mr T's.
My DH drinks black coffee, no sugar and he is really struggling to find one he likes. Just bought a big jar of Kenco which he won't drink:mad: never mind it will get drunk by others eventually (I am a tea girl) so need to get a small jar of something else for him to try.
Tea tonight will be meat and potato pie and may make cherry cake for DH as a treat.
Have a good day J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Peanut Butter is fine... but German Style Rye is very dry and Peanut butter is sticky... So it doesn't really do it for me
But boy do I have a lot of options to try...!

Morning all!
Wet and grey here today, but on the bright side means I don't need to do my hair before we go out, quick brush and clip it up will do! Taking girls to Primarni with dd1's friend, every so often they do a £20 challenge in there! New clothes are needed, so they get given the money and have to get as much as they can for it! They love it! dd1 is a fab bargain hunter, and has fully embraced charity shops, adapting stuff and knitting - couple of her friends have large clothing budgets and serious topshop habits, but even they have taken to dragging dd1 out with them, as she can look at an outfit then take them somewhere to buy it for less!
OS stuff today will involve the usual round of hoovering and tidying, before we all vanish under the mess dd3 creates! WM and TD are on already, BM will go on soon as will DW, and flask needs filling with milk for yoghurt - we have no garlic soft cheese (make it from our yoghurt) and dd1 is not pleased!
Breakfast will be bacon sarnies all round, kids responsible for doing their own as they all rise at diff times! I had veggie bacon, eggs and toms
Lunch will be whatever they grab before we go, depends when they eat brekkie! Mine will be couscous salad made last night if there is any left!
Dinner tonight is meatballs and pasta, with either salad or broccoli, depends whether I make it out to the freezer and whether the weather cheers up!
Time for another cuppa and a catch up now, have a good day all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning everyone. Hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
It's damp, miserable and grey today- garden tiger keeps glaring at me, as if it's my fault.
Yesterday was all about making stuff- I used a tin of Mamade for the normal vairety, then did a bit of a internet search for something to do with the glut of tangerines we've got at the moment.
I came up with this recipe http://www.putsup.com/2009/12/microwave-tangerine-marmelade.html ,so I did two small batches with tangerines (yum), then did one with some lime and a lemon lurking at the back of the fridge (sharp but wonderful)
I'm chained to the WM today, as I have six loads to do. In the meantime , there is a chicken bubbling away in the jam pan with a load of vegetables and stock. (it's the only thing big enough). It should be ready in about another half an hour or so. I'm also waiting for a delivery from AP - due about lunchtime.
Have a good day. xxSurviving the ups and downs of life with DH
