Soz to go off topic, but how come you've bought one of those phones from Grattan.
I am saving money as I always say to my partner, 'No I'm not buying that, even if it's a good deal, as I may get it for free?'
Half price is good, but do you not stop buying expensive stuff incase you can get it R&R'd.
A profit is a profit, will sell the phones and make at least £50 on each
Does that answer your question?0 -

Constantine admits RandRing creates jobs
We were in a store this afternoon, when I watched two assistants with a list, checking sels...........they made no attempt to hide the list, and were openly discussing the items in question.
The 2 items I saw them check were the airfreshner and the felt pens, both mentioned yesterday on the misprices thread.
When I got closer I noticed it was typed just as if it had be "copied n pasted" from the misprices thread....eg
£37.xx on Splinter Cell Double Agent for Xbox 360 - scans at £39.96.
diet coke box of 24 cans price on box £6.95 SEL £6.75 scans at £6.95
picked up a blazing saddles dvd stickered 4.96 sel 4.97
I wasnt even on an RandR trip, I was trying to decide on the £11 worth of items I needed to use my £8.48 's worth of coupons with.....its hard doing this 6 or 8 times in a day........
I wonder if this came from HO, or whether it was down to the individual stores.....whichever way it is......We are certainly making it easier for them, and (if you dont act quickly or spot the misprices yourself) harder for ourselves.
but anyway, spent £74ish today......got back just under £60 worth of that...:jCouponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

What we need is some kind of misprice alerter on our phones. So when the newest misprice is known all the R&Rs get a text.0

Only asked as this R&Ring has gone to my brain.
My microwave has blown up after cooking popcorn for 10 minutes.
My toaster stinks after my partner put bread in it & we found a plastic screw in it ( my little boys )
My iron is putting black crap on the clothes & sticking to shirts.
My matching chrome kettle blew, but my Nan died 2 months ago, so I have her white one.
I can afford to replace everything but this Tesco stuff is stopping me.
I really need to book myself in.0 -

An odd experience today at my local - spent about £30 on shopping including 2 packs of mispriced chicken - there were about 20 packs left on the shelf.
CS were really quite rude including arguning that the difference in price was "obviously" (i.e. I should have known) for the different sell by dates and the price was changing. I pointed out that the label on the shelf didn't indiate any such thing and I thought it would be corrected at the till. Much muttering later the cs person insits on calling for a supervisor who agrees right away that it is an over charge. CS then starts muttering that I'm "obviously at it".
I asked what she meant but she just repeted the "at it" phrase. I said that I thought I was entitled to be careful about checking prices and picking things with long sell by dates. I also pointed out that I wanted two packs of chiken and that since there was about £100 worth of chicken on the shelf then someone who is "at it" would have filled their trolly with the stuff.
The CS person got my refund and put my recipt in her pocket and walked off to speak to another staff member nearby with my refund in her hands. More muttering and pointing in my drection then CS puts money down on the counter and walks off.
Odd behaviour I thought - however I have resolved that the next time I'm in and I spot an overcharge with that CS person on duty I wont just take what I want for my shopping I'll clear the shelves and stick it in my freezer.
Have CS become more stroppy recently? anyone else seeing this kind of behaviour?0 -
FloFlo wrote:The annuals should be a sure bet certain combinations are not giving the 2 for £8 discount even though they are stickered 2 for £8. Pokemon and cars didn't work, also Noddy and Scoobydoo didn't work. I'm sure there are others still not working perhaps some kind msers could post some others not working to help you with your first r&r. Good luck.
I don't think this is a sure bet everywhere - my local HAS applied the discount to both the above combinations so I've taken them back for a normal refund.ELITE 5:2
