Leaves your options open ie return to speak to store manager or speak to HO.
As I understand it, Annie didn't go to CS to point out the overcharge, she went there to claim the phone. It was CS who pointed out the overcharge, and presented the £20 at the same time as the phone. In other words, she could not refuse the £20 without refusing the phone.0 -

Went for a nose in an Extra - I was drawn to one of the new box displays that holds DVDs, Games, Books and CDs.
Could hardly believe it when I saw a 24 Season 5 £24.97 SEL....
....but no DVDs on display.
Now I know that some of you are paranoid (The Dude is not) about security, the eye-in-the-sky, thermal imaging etc etc, but get this:
The box display was directly in front - maybe 6 meteres - of the CS desk - and at a right angle to, but directly in front of the front-of-store Security Dude - about 4 metres away.
I strolled away - got a handful of 24 Season 5 DVDs from the main aisle - circled round and approached the box display on a bombing run - ready to pull-up and abort if I felt I was about to be rumbled.
CS girls were busy - Mr Security was attempting to tickle his frontal lobe via a finger up his nose.
I stacked the box display - then took one back - paid - reported to CS - prompt R&R with a smile and 'Happy Christmas'.
Now whilst stacking the shelf was my personal choice - I wanted to make my purchase look kosha (sure enough the CS lady compared my DVD to one that I had stacked) the top-tip is....
...check those lovely box displays for old SELs 'cause you don't know what you might find....
Duder
Hey Dude one has to admire ur "Church Bells" on this one but I think u should include the TV phrase "Don't try this at home" in the post.
If u got caught doing this I'm sure a store ban would be slapped around ur face.
Respect all the same    :beer:0 -
As the phone was paid for it was legally your property whether you had it in your possession or not. You can still claim an &r despite taking the £20 - plenty of people have been successful with this. Just say you were under duress to take the money from the store as they obviously didn't want to adhere to their advertised policy.0

FEAR for the 360 has definately gone back up to £39.xx as I checked in my local just but the SEL was correct.but when I paid for the shoping ( 2 apples, milk and bread.....:and 2 holsten pills to go with the breadrotfl: ) the discount came off:mad: Why

The overcharge occured at the point you paid for the phone, the transaction had been completed !, even if they didn't have the phone you are entitled to a refund on the terms of their overcharge policy, you then await for the phone to come back in stock and then go and collect.
I've had a duty manager try and pull this "you haven't got the phone in your hand" told them it was just total nonsense ! and questioned whether they would make this much fuss over a packet of wotsits? of course not was the reply, she soon the errors of her ways- full refund
personally I would have left HO and spoke to someone else at the store 1st-
oh and never get embarrased for asking them to apply their policy0 -
The Holsten POS - as well as a couple of others - were not coming off for the start of offer. The offer was, however, active on the till.
So now you are going to find stores with the "wrong" POS out, but it does scan at the offer price (£9.98 each, 2 4 £16).
Best to avoid Holsten for a while, its going to be confusing.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

I think im going to take the easy option with stickered items like books etc but would like some toys for the "3 littles" for xmas.
Would also like the roasting beef people are talking about.
Just want to confirm one thing, if the SEL has a lower price but has expired and it scans higher, is this an R & R or will they say the SEL is out of date?
Hope i get something its a 30 mile round trip!!
The annuals should be a sure bet certain combinations are not giving the 2 for £8 discount even though they are stickered 2 for £8. Pokemon and cars didn't work, also Noddy and Scoobydoo didn't work. I'm sure there are others still not working perhaps some kind msers could post some others not working to help you with your first r&r. Good luck.0 -
Pokemon & disney princess worked for me tonight;)
Good luck on your first R & R0 -

Do you mean discount came off? or that you had r&r.0 -
I have finally spotted Champagne and Chocolate @£18 but it clearly says reduced from £20. Anyone know if this still scans @£20?0
