tesco.com showing as current until 28/11
Yep I sure do remember and I also remember someone having the cider as well.
The SEL is about A4 size but in my local I could only see one which actually listed all the beer, unfortunately I can't remember which one it was on as I was rushing to get bottle of gin (never seem to get the Plymouth wrong) and be home on time.
I suspect it just a lazy employee using the sign but as Tesco.com lists them maybe not.
So hopefully an R&R which I will try tomorrow but definitely mis-leading pricing at the very best. :beer:0 -
Hi guys
Can someone advise please. Just bought a Tesco mobile phone (Benq-siemens E61 ) I should have had £20 discount as I spent well over £40. The discount never came off but when I went to claim phone she noticed. She offered me £20 which I said no too and pointed out the policy. In a loud voice she said you have not been overcharged we are offering you the discount as an extra special deal - the phone is £69.97. I was getting embarrased now as her voice was raised so took £20 and left. Can I complain to HO?0 -

That this House commends the activities of those persons and groups dedicated to assisting members of the public get value for money in purchases, insurance, overdrafts and mortgages; and recognises that money saving experts like Martin Lewis at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ provides, on a not-for-profit basis, an incentive for ordinary consumers to pressurise large providers and financial institutions to hold down prices to the general public.
From this thread ....

Seems like while Mr T is busy trying to identify MSErs so that they can be treated like criminals Parliament is busy commending the site !
Also noticed in the thread ....I'm sure i saw Jack Straw MP getting an R&R in tesco the other day??!!
I can just see them banning Jack Straw. :rotfl:0 -

If you'd paid then you should have a full R&R.
HO should back you up, but its up to you whether you want to raise your profile in so doing.
Don't accept the £20 and keep the phone till you've sorted it out to your satisfaction.
If you phone Dundee and the person doesn't agree R&R just phone back at a different time and try again. Their response varies.0 -

Not sure I agree. In this particular case the customer did not have the phone - she went to CS to claim the phone, and the CS noticed the discount hadn't come off - it seems to me that the transaction wasn't complete until the customer had the phone in her hand.
The advice given in earlier posts was "you must have the phone in your hand" before going back to CS to ask for R&R.0 -
Ok guys thanks for your varying responses. I have written a full account of the transaction in an e-mail to HO and await thier response ( phones are closed now)
I will keep you posted
Thanks again0 -
Sorry just noticed this bit ...Annie021063 wrote:Hi guys

They may say that you took the £20 as settlement of the matter.
It could still be worth speaking to HO though.
Always best to keep the item & receipt and walk out when CS are like this.
Leaves your options open ie return to speak to store manager or speak to HO.
Not so easy to do when they are being stroppy I know.0 -

Well I'm no laywer but I believe the advise was "It's better to have the phone in your hands". I think legally speaking the deal is sealed once they have taken ur money. I sure one of our legal advisers will put us straight on the matter.0
