  • this is m first post,but I had a golden r&r accidently.
what happened was the reciept I had from the r& was ripped across the guarentee barcode on the electrical item I went to CS and she printed off a new receipt.so this one did not have the biro r&r on it...she said they can re pint any receipt up to 3 months after initial one, either need time you went through tills or the btm of receipt with the number on....

Im new to this whole thing and I have just got my first r&r which was also a golden r&r. The problem is I used my American Express to buy and get refunded twice was this sensible? Is there a chance Tesco will pick up on it?

Just make them an offer they can't refuse if they get on to you.

And no, no chance. Sleep peacefully (after checking for horses heads).

Should be ok they dont normally scan the barcode (on the receipt) normally just the item.

computer systems down at HO apparently...........

Yup, I can back this up. I've been speaking to them about my hifi. The first time I called the systems were all down, the second time they were "having major problems accross the whole company" but she could still tell me that CS had called the store, and the manager is still refusing to refund me.

So what is it benjiMORON.....DO YOU WORK FOR TESCO'S OR DONT YOU.....

benjimorom posted twice on the 27th november saying he was Tesco staff, so perhaps he's resigned/left/ been sacked since then??

Has anyone got back into a store (later on in the day) and got a R&R from a refused one.

I'm thinking i might go back in later tonight when the people i seen are not there and can say i've been on your website and will shown them their overcharge policy. I'm thinking of not phoning HO as this will put me on the rader for £20.

Maybe i will get someone nice :)

It worked for me with the Champers
Ring before you go to make sure the manager who blocked you is not there.I wouldn't mention you were on this website as you will probably get them on the defensive. Photocopy the Tesco policy and keep it up your sleeve if you need to play it. For the amount involved should be straight forward as most CS staff are fair.

quick question , is golden R&R getting refunded for the same item twice , or going back to the same store and getting the R&R twice? or is it both ;)

Its returning the item for a full refund after getting a refund and retain in the first place.

    Golden R&R:

You buy an item, get overcharged and then get your refund and retain the goods.

If they don't mark your receipt as "refunded" or "overcharge" or similar, you can then go and take the item back in return for the money back.

Never tried it myself, nor do I condone it, but people on here have done it before, and as far as I'm concerned, if they let you do it then there's nothing wrong with it! :-)
