Scan the item at a self scan (if there's one in store) or
take through checkout and either pay for it and return it if either it's scanned higher (R&R) or scanned lower (say you don't want it and get money back)

or if you see it scan lower at checkout you can tell them you've changed your mind prior to the transaction being completed.

Postie covers a BIG BIG area.

He doesn't just go it alone, he works with a team.

Apart from 306NOTOUT - the _postman is R&R god!

    I think not.

although I have respect for the postie.........

He may appear to be "god" as you say........but I know a lot of others on here, who only outline what they get, without shouting about it as much as the postie does.

Each to his own (quote..."the dude")

Ps...How much are you paying this guy....Postie...........lol
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    Ok guys need advice

Went to store today and notcied the Palin books were £8.97 got 2 (both presents) and went for a refund. Now the same guy from last sunday (got 1 dvd 3pk) noticed me and asked 'Whats the problem this time?'

So explained that i had been overcharged on these 2 books. I then went to show him where they were and there was another 1 there and 2 more with the labels removed but still could see bit of the sticker.

So he said 'these should not be onsale and we dont price these up'. I did not say alot at this point and just played stupid.

So then asked me what i would like to been done, i asked what their policy was on an overcharge and he said 'either we can refuse the sale of the item or diffrence' So i pointed at the board and then said ok i get a manager.

After 10mins waiting and 3 diffrent calls to 2 diffrent managers one turned up and asked what the problem was. So i explained i had been overcharged. So she looked at the books and said ' sorry sir i'm refusing this sale to you as these have been tampered with' So i asked did she imply i have done and did say 'no'.

But she refused to do anything and was just gonna do a refund me but said i'll speak to head office first and will be back to see here later and took the books back and the receipt.

Now is this deff and O/C? I'm 100% it is but wanna check with you lot first before i ring HO. Might aswell do it now and made myself known there now.

Deffo an overcharge. You should not have let her take the books and the reciept though, dunno where you'll stand with this now.

I wouldn't to be honest Mr kennedy, you will have far bigger fish to catch at a later dats and it will only cause you problems. I would just take the refund and wait til you get a Telly or Xbox and then go for HO. £16 for two books is not worth getting known for. But also to answer your question, yes they can refuse to sale you the goods, but I'm fairly sure that they have to remove the item for sale for a 24 hour period. So if you go back in and they have put it back on then it is TS report. And yes it was definately a refund.

    All IMO of course.
