taking a refund is one thing and legal, taking to another store for a refund on something u were already refunded for is deliberate fraud, u can twist it anyway u like, but it is fraud..

I don't condone it, but you are wrong Frequent old chap and Ole1973 speaks the truth.

The opinion of your PC matey is probably shared with the avergage joe - going for 2 refunds appears to be taking the p!!! and is therfore illegal.

But the legalities & realities are this - R&R is Tesco saying "Sorry - overcharged you - have this with our compliments - please don't go to Trading Standards".

The second refund is the consumer simply returning an unwanted product under statutory law.

But as Ole1973 says CS staff will undoubtedly give anyone clutching a receipt with 'overcharge - refund' scribbled on it a hard time - I wouldn't do it myself.

The vast majority of mr r&r receipts have been marked with either "refunded" or "refund" .... and many of them have additionally had the product description and its price crossed through .... (to be extra sure I guess!)

All of mine have said OVERCHARGE on them.

  • I have held back from mentioning this so many times now because of the Tesco employees that read this thread but....

Statutory law does not entitle you to a refund or an exchange because you have 'changed your mind' only if the product is faulty, ie. Not fit for purpose etc...

Tesco does offer an exchange/refund policy in addition to this but this is not a statutory right...

I believe the wording on the board says 'Your statutory rights are not affected'
  • to save me walking all the way to the tesco to find out:

Does anyone know when the yellow SEL's for the xbox360 bundles expire?

Surly when this happens there could be a possibility of the price changing and some stores not removing the SEL's?

    Not fit for purpose etc..

    well thats easy then
we can get refunds on anything all you have to say is that you bought it for someone else and he/she has already got it.
i think thats not fit for purpose
  • 100% correct Flutterby, I tried to tell The Postman this on Friday I think it was but it was ignored. It is just their policy to give a refund within 28 days and we all know how they ignore their policy's!!!

The xbox promotion ends on the 26th I think.
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now
