If it really is legal, why are they giving people such a hard time at cs?
I watched the manager tell a guy the other night that because he had such a high value item, he (The Manager) would have to go and investigate him.
Turns out I stalked him while he carried out his investigations, pacing the book aisle for 20 mins conferring with various staff.
It was hysterical, I just wish I could have found a way to let the poor guy sweating at cs know.
Don't think that Manager would quite cut it with the NYPD Tunnel Rat, his investigation skills seemed to leave a lot to be desired0 -
i think hes gone back in his tunnel0

just wondering where we stand regarding tv ads for products in store at £xxx only to get there and find them more expensive. Is there a disclaimer on the bottom of ads (saying selected stores only - or similar) . Also spotted a Tesco magazine in store the other day - never knew they did one. it's got a load of stuff in with prices but could not find any disclaimer with regard to when /where the prices did / did not apply.
Have not actually checked the products for misprices (yet!) but can't beleive they will ALL scan correctly, or even at the same price from store to store, and since the mag is available at the front of the store on the way in, it is feasible that you could read it and buy something on the assumption that you would pay the magazine advertised price. I know the policy applies regarding sels, posters, pack prices etc and just wondering if it covers tv and in store mags too.
Also, was out r&ring last week and went to two stores only 8 miles apart, was very surprised to see loads of things at different prices (£2, £3, and £4 difference in some cases) in each of the stores, and none relating to special offers, multibuys or similar. example the champagne & chocs set in store A - £18 in store B - £20. Both on white label sels, no special offers or promos. No, no R &R either!
am aware of different pricing regionally but 8 miles apart???
have read through the last three or four days of threads to see if anyone else has mentioned it - but it has taken me ages so far. eeek! look at the time. so sorry if already posted. any advice greatly appreciated.credit card debt at LBM Nov 2006 £11,300:eek:

I noticed that this week as well firefox, only because my mum nagged me about where I buy my breakfast cereal. So, I duly trotted off to Tesco to buy it and as I went to lift it noticed it was nearly £1 dearer than she'd said.
Thought she'd been having a "Senior Moment", but nope turns out she buys it in the local Tesco Express and it is indeed nearly £1 less, I couldn't believe it, these stores are less than three miles apart.
They must be getting away with holy murder!0 -
Hi
Has anyone any tips on scanning DVD's in the security cases as there is a small groove on the case which seems to hinder the scanning. Only reason I ask is that I would like to know before hand whether it is a definate r+r opportunity before I purchase the item as the couple of stores I have have around my area the prices vary quite a lot for the same item
many thanks0 -
Normally the metro and express stores are more expensive as they are in the town centre.0

Some to look out for...
Cars DVD now 13.67 (Was 9.67 last week)
Gears of War Xbox 360 still 37.84 SEL in my local, but they have no copies left to scan, someone wanna try it?
Superman Xbox 360 no SEL and no copies at my store, may be up from 37.9x last week0 -
TBH i would avoid scanners if you can. Or scan the items and go to another store, alot of people are getting picked up of this from the sercurity team.
As to your Q - Normally a good shake does the trick.0
