i think it was only up for a couple of days it was supposed to go on till 26th dec but things went wrong i think
  • I have held back from mentioning this so many times now because of the Tesco employees that read this thread but....

Statutory law does not entitle you to a refund or an exchange because you have 'changed your mind' only if the product is faulty, ie. Not fit for purpose etc...

Tesco does offer an exchange/refund policy in addition to this but this is not a statutory right...

I believe the wording on the board says 'Your statutory rights are not affected'

There are also implied statutory rights, which form part of statutory rights, which are things that are 'custom', ie 28 day return policy.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

Mr kennedy you said on misprices not to say name of store but a while back when I first started using this thread it said the rule was misprice sel etc and name of store and whether Cs had corrected misprice.

has opinion changed on this now cos people think Tesco is watching this?

tescos have always been reading this but they can try to identify you if you mention the store
u should only say the misprice NEVER the store
i always advocate that you should never mention any particular store or indulge in personal conversations held with tescos employees. this can open a can of worms because anyone reading this can isolate a particular customer or event

the nameing stores??? why have a fit about it? if the user wants to name the store let them. I choose not to so the store cant work it out who I am. if they dont mind or are stupid enough to then let them.

I dont expect postie to go r+ring in his posties uniform or does he?

when you think about his posts he proberbly does, he goes on about what happened in so much detail I am sure the stores know who he is I dont think anyone else goes at stores in the same way.

I let people know where Im from, I am from bolton, I dont r+r in the local stores so I have no problems.

Postie covers a BIG BIG area.

He doesn't just go it alone, he works with a team.

Apart from 306NOTOUT - the _postman is R&R god!

    well thats easy then
we can get refunds on anything all you have to say is that you bought it for someone else and he/she has already got it.
i think thats not fit for purpose

Not fit for purpose means the item must be not fit for purpose for what the item is designed to do, not because your mate's already got one. I.e. If it's purpose is to play music then it must reasonably play music, if it doesn't or does it very badly then that would be not fit for purpose. Or in other words faulty, in which case you would be entitled to a refund as your statutory rights weren't affected. However I'm wondering how much they would refund you, maybe they would refund £0.00 as that's what you actually paid in the end?
  • anyone tell me how it goes if your item is mispriced but manager stills says no refund, you then give it back for refund and later find out from c.s that it should have been a refund, do you think they would still honour it(all in the same day )
