He doesn't just go it alone, he works with a team.
Apart from 306NOTOUT - the _postman is R&R god!
:rotfl: A free Telly does not make me a god mate. There are people (not naming any names) who get 3 to 4 times the amount of stuff from Tescos which I get. I do alright and my xmas this year will be free but others could possibly be making a living out of doing this, Honestly.
It is all about finding the new Misprices not getting ones which are posted on here. Just because you go and get 10 of a misprice which has already been posted thats easy, it is finding the new ones which matters. We took on Mr T and we won:D
Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:0 -

SEL £59.97, scans £69.97 (expired, can't remember date).
Went to CS, CS kid phoned manager, manager came, thought he'd got out of it by bringing a different SEL with him, but then I pointed out that HIS SEL was for a different model! He authorised refund, and went. CS kid proceeded to begin a refund for the £10.00 difference, when I asked him why he was only refunding difference. He said it was because that's what he'd been told to do (fair enough), so I made him call said manager back to the cs desk.
Manager came back, I asked him what the policy is, then told him that it is to refund in full and to allow customer to keep the product. Manager point blank refused to invoke this policy, as it is at his discretion. I corrected him, and told him that as he is only a departmental manager (it is worth noting that he was the duty manager on at that time, so noone higher to talk to) he cannot override company policy. He insisted that he can, and that he was not refunding in full, when askd why, his answer was "because I can, and because it is 70 quid".
Offered difference of £10.00 (refused), complaint logged with h/o.
How annoying, to argue over £70 when people have had £100's in x-boxes, champers, sony bravia tv (cough, lol)! Bloody jobsworth!
ARGH!
Have to wait an see what h/o say about this, but I really can't see how they can refuse!
I phoned HO this morning, the lady on the phone agreed that he should have refunded the whole amount, but said that she needed to ring the store and speak to the manager concerned (I hope he gets an !!!-kicking!) and she will ring me back "later today" and let me know what happens next. I asked her about how the refund will be done, and she said that I'd have to go in store. Bit if a :-( fone me about that as its not a local one. It's not a million miles away, so not too bad, plus at least I might get to give the manager in question a smug smile when I get my refund. In fact, I might even ask him to do it personally! hehe.
I'll keep ya posted.
FWIW, another poster posted about these after me, so they're still out there folks!
I think the postie has gone in search of some today.0 -

Well you're a God in my eyes fella! Having the balls to R&R a telly that must've cost...what...£1500??
Yes, I'm sure there are some making a living out of it (I *KNOW* there are!).
Agree about new misprices thing, proud to have found one myself on Saturday, the first I'd found myself! I posted on here ofcourse, and on the misprices thread!0 -
I got one of those stereos last wednesday, CS just gave the R&R straight away without contacting a manager or anything!
Always amuses me how different some CS staff can be, I guess I'm quite lucky as I dont seem to have too many problems with CS staff, most of the stores I visit just process the R&R and give you the cash without batting an eyelid, obviously they arent quite so forthcoming with the high value items (I stood at CS for nearly an hour to get my Xbox360)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Same here Chris. Me and my manager were saying the same this morning when I was talking about it.0

i am determined to get myself a 32" tv, determined I say, I look forward to the fight.3 bounce offs v Tesco's, 3 wins = £190+0

Right, I have been reading these all morning and need to ask how do you know if the item will be scanned higher than the SEL??? Do you just need to take a chance at the checkout? Any advice would be appreciated as never done R&R before! Thanks guys xIf we all lived to the rule 'an eye for an eye', the world would be blind...0
