I think he certainly knows the right places to go.

Went to a large extra today, saw Gears of war at £37.84 (I think) and thought as it was last weeks game of week that it would be an R&R. Couldnt scan the box so went to the till and suddenly realised not enough cash when it scanned at same price.

Also no boxsets of dvds at all (ones mentioned on here). Hope someone else isnt gettng to the store b4 me!

Started R&R a month or so ago and got £300 of mobiles and then Lego Star wars all in same week and since then **** all. Must be losing my touch

Interestingly, as I posted earlier, I tried some bundles + game last night and the two bundles that I tried both triggered the discount of £20.

Perhaps its different today or perhaps its only a particular bundle or game that doesn't trigger.

With such differing experiences being posted the only answer is to try it & see.

If you get a bundle + game that doesn't trigger the discount & manager is claiming they are not in offer ....

1) Ask him why SEL is Yellow on Offer til ..... (All bundles I've seen had the offer SELs)

2) Ask them to scan a different bundle + different game, with a bit of luck it will trigger the discount & you can then prove they are in the offer !!

All the above based on yesterdays scans but if you see them try them.

Today I actually turned down 2 hrs work and £25 at royal mail because I had to plan this evenings visit.

I didnt drive, my friend did, which was 25 mile round trip

I spent 35p on a paper and thats it

Mind im off in the morning as far as im concerned when there is 10 labels on a shelf and one directly infront of the bundle packs which states i will get £20 off. I have a tiny store to hit where no one suspects. Guaranteed this.

I agree totally, its annoying when you find no SEL on a guaranteed but it may mean that someone else has achieved success and I hope that they made full advantage of it ie 6 bottles or what ever it is because next time hopefully the lucky one will be moi !

Couple of questions that some of you maybe be able to answer.

1. Do tescos send a copy of the weeks price changes to the store (As when i worked at woolies the weeks price changes are printed off in one go then sorted into intrays for Mon-Sat so you would know on monday when something was changing price that week. There would be minor changes but the majority of the time they were set.)

2. When do the instore systems get updated to relate to the prices on the system at head office?

Just wondering so i could try and work out when the best time to hit the stores would be

Have any of you guys been sold a 360 game with a broken seal from Tesco?

I was, so I asked if I could have a sealed one and was told that they were all like that and they have to do that because otherwise they get pinched by employees.:eek:
