Mr_Kennedy wrote:Now what is the deal with the xbox 360 premium with GOW?
I have seen the Xbox advertised at £297.81 and the sign save £20 when you buy any xbox console and a game. Where is the misprice here.
But the store that it was did make myself kinda known with 2 CS ppl as was waiting ages for a refund.
This is what I tried earlier but gave up in the end:
I got Xbox console package and then the new Tom Clancy one (Rainbow something!!) The barker said "Buy Xbox 360 console and any Xbox 360 game and save £20" so I got the one with GOW already in it, so yes I was buying a console and another game as stated. But the £20 did not come off, I said well I have bought a console and another game as per your label but they would not budge. I could not be bothered to take it any further so just took my refund and told them I was going to Game!!
So the discount will only come into effect if you buy the normal console not one of the packages. HTHWe took on Mr T and we won:D
Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now :beer:0 -

He concludes that someone - "I'm not suggesting it was you Sir!" has taken the current label out and put an old one in.

Hi folks,
I'm new to this board, but been around a while!
This is my 1000th post  (doesn't time fly) and I thought it a good time to celebrate with the 6 bottles of champers I collected earlier today! I even had to ask the lady stocking the wine if she could fetch me some as there was only one on the shelf. CS tried the £10 refund - but I've been reading this thread (and page 1) so I innocently pointed to the big blue notice........ So far this week I've bagged an Xbox, 1 game, lots of steak and the champers - not bad for a start!
Thank you all for your advice - I hope soon to be able to post some for you all too. :T :T :T :T :T :T0 -
Earlier Post Update!
Trading Standards have asked me in Monday as they say they are very interested.
Original Post Below:
Had what I thought was a very good and easy R&R yesteday!
Yellow shelf label clearly said £10 0ff and now £34 (Computer DVD Writter), so bought two as they seemed a good buy.
Went through checkout with many other items and noticed I had been charged the full £44 each.
Went to customer services who agreed wrong price on display, but need supervisor to authorise refund.
One hour later and supervisor and two managers refuse refund as Shelf label was two days out of date, I have to point out this label was about 6ft high and I for one could not have possibly seen it was out of date?
Called head office who contacted store but they backed store and refused refund.
What next
Give up?

I have been in 2 stores today. No1 had the various different SEL's for the Xbox varieties but no yellow SEL special offer £20 off promo. No2 had the yellow SEL for the offer, definately stating ANY Xbox console, but only a premium unit on the shelf. So if there is a yellow special offer SEL AND all the various Xbox consoles surely it should apply to the bundle boxes as well. But as stated on here the offer does NOT kick in. So if you can find a store with all the ingredients on show and fancy a bit of a 'nose to toe' with HO (because I can imagine they might become involved) then you may well come away with an Xbox for Christmas. I know if I see it anywhere I'll give it a go, but I will let my OH deal with the CS/refund/HO bit as I am known to KK! Can't wait to see if someone deals this one. Also no sign of the mispriced champers for me, but Bacon Rashers (crisps) coming out of my ears.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Can't decide if that's a dig at the disabled or an attempt at a joke
Either way it's not funny :rolleyes:0 -
Nghaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I spent 2 hours in my second nearest Tesco on a deliberate R&R run, but didn't get a single thing! I even took a long list with me from the misprice thread but everything was correct. Well in fact everything was not correct, but the SEL's were nearly ALL higher than the pack/scan price. If only it were the other way round. Not my day today. I'm gonna head off to my local tonight and see what I get there. It's just typical that when I go out of my way to go R&R'ing I don't find a sausage...literally. :mad:0
