Even His Dudeness needs some advice sometimes.....

Picked up 6 bottles of Moet earlier - scan at £20.94 - SEL £19.15 (:T OP)

CS wanted to refund me and charge me the 'correct' price - processed refund.

At this point I stepped in with the 'what about your price promise' line and pointing gormlessly at the big old blue sign.

CS was unsure about the R&R - called Manager.

Manager arrives - he concludes that the wrong issue of SEL is on display - explains how the issue of labels works - then a lengthy chat about how Tesco are so on the ball with their prices - over-charging is very rare - blah, blah, blah.

He concludes that someone - "I'm not suggesting it was you Sir!" has taken the current label out and put an old one in.

Clearly this guy thinks The Dude is a less than honourable man

Anyway - he will not budge - we get HO on the line - Dundee chat to the Manager - get the impression that he's sold them on the swapping SELs nonsense - they back him up.

It was crystal that I wasn't getting anywhere - asked him if I could get my receipt back and go on my merry way.

So I go back to the CS desk and ask for my receipts.

Of course - the Manager is not aware that CS have already refunded me (they didn't take the wine 25% discount off the refund, if you see what I mean - £95 out, £125 back in :o ).

So I walk out - ready for all hell to break loose if the Manager and CS lady get their heads together and work out that I've been refunded and have kept the bubbly.

I kept my cool - but inside I was very angry with the implication that I was a bad egg and justified my actions by telling myself that I was in the right, as far as R&R goes.

So did I break the law?

Don't think so. It was obviously a very confusing and stressful situation for you and you weren't 100% sure what was going on....;)
    Can I help?

So who were you before you decided to rename yourself chubby? , no one comes here with such a wide depth of information as you had gained within 4 days.;)
Your posts unfortunately give you away, if you have been viewing mse for 3 years as you say the temptation to post would have been to great, as you do seem to enjoy blowing smoke out your own a!!!.
Yet somehow only when you finally came across this thread you feel the need to, I think more like now you felt the need to rename yourself. Whatever, no skin off, if you have accumilated as much as you say, you obviously did it off the backs of others as you certainly haven't been posting your catches for others.

It's interesting to note who else has come out of the woodwork recently...

...of course I'm not for a moment suggesting that someone is using 2 handles ;)

Ok not a bad day got 2 dvds (unleashed and simpsons)

Now what is the deal with the xbox 360 premium with GOW?

I have seen the Xbox advertised at £297.81 and the sign save £20 when you buy any xbox console and a game. Where is the misprice here.

But the store that it was did make myself kinda known with 2 CS ppl as was waiting ages for a refund.
  • Just seen a possible r&r, didnt want to post it on the other board just incase. LCD television, with built in DVD player, yellow sel £179.**, expires 28/11/06. They had none in stock,(apart from the display) so didnt try it. Only done two r&r's so too scared!!!
