Funny thing, was in Wembley Extra last night and as I walked by the Xmas displays (near the store scanner that had a HUGE stack of DVD's beside it) and watched as a guy came round the scanner, checked the DVD's that were laying NEXT to the scanner and laughed and said, someone must have already checked here! He then took his daughter and went to another section0

Its just a term we use when we split up an go to the CS desk seperately, it works especially well in those stores that have a CS desk on a corner so you can both visit without being next to each other, the hardest part is not looking at each other and laughing!
EXCELLENT- me and OH did this the otehr day (we both got 2 different dvds)- was hard not to laugh tho0 -

my OH likes when i come home with free stuff, but was not comfy with doing it when i had a disagreement with the CS, not even a raised voice or anything. she said she wouldn't have liked to be on the other end of it, and so sends me on my own now lol:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:roll on december 26th : i want my house back!!!!

When we go out, we usually employ the Pincer movement or just take it in turns. I personally love a bit of panto when at the CS desk, one store I might act totally disinterested, maybe even annoyed at the idea of having to wait around while shes complaining about being overcharged! Other times I'll be doing the R&R and she will be beside me giving it the "how many times have I told you to check the receipt?? " line.
We always have a good laugh, makes the day out more entertaining! Especially when you ask how come they have given you your money back! :rotfl:Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Had what I thought was a very good and easy R&R yesteday!
Yellow shelf label clearly said £10 0ff and now £34 (Computer DVD Writter), so bought two as they seemed a good buy.
Went through checkout with many other items and noticed I had been charged the full £44 each.
Went to customer services who agreed wrong price on display, but need supervisor to authorise refund.
One hour later and supervisor and two managers refuse refund as Shelf label was two days out of date, I have to point out this label was about 6ft high and I for one could not have possibly seen it was out of date?
Called head office who contacted store but they backed store and refused refund.
What next
Give up?

i now go with a mate. we go , buy two of everything, then split it up. take turns of who goes to CS, the other lurks ready to quote ' well the other day when i was overcharged on XXXXXx i got to keep it, and got my money back!!!!'
normally wait until the difference is offered to step forward. CS normalyy looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights:eek:  then coughs up!!!roll on december 26th : i want my house back!!!!

Think I've been quite lucky, I cant remember the last time I was offered the difference!
Most of the stores I go to the CS staff just R&R with no hassle.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
