I have spoken to Richard but he won't let me out of quarantine. However, he is very concerned about your safety at the airport, carrying such a valuable package. I am sure that you will thank Richard for arranging with the airport manager to get the 55$ to you post haste..

All you need to do is to approach any member of the airport security staff with your diplomatic passport and they will take you to see the airport manager who will give the 55$ in person.

But there is still the problem that I will be unable to meet you because of the quarantine I am in at the moment in the UK. Do you have any suggestions how that problem might be circumvented?

My father does have the same name as me and he does live in New York, maybe the solution would be for you to give him the consignment instead? Let me know if you could do that at his house, or would he have to meet you at my house?

The airport manager has already got the 55$ but he does not know of your whereabouts at the airport, despite extensive enquiries. A tannoy message was put out for you to contact security staff but you failed to make contact.

If you can tell me what flight you arrived on, and on what date and at what terminal you landed, I will pass this information back to the airport manager. That will enable him to locate you, so that you can contine your journey to Bangkok.

You have already been at the airport for at least 5 days and I want to make sure you don't have to spend another day there, especially as two of my friends say you have packages for them too. In fact, Richard has collected their 55$ fees as well and passed the same to the airport manager.

So, I suggest that you make contact with some urgency, it is in your own interest to do so.

I think the truly scary thing about these types of email is that they must be profitable otherwise the scammers wouldnt do them.

How many people fall for this daily?

While i sympathise with people taken in by these scammers, a meaner part of me cant help but think there are plenty more potential Darwin award winners out there!
