I have just received a letter today saying I will receive £850 goodwill payment. Probably been asked before (sorry), but can I request a cheque for this amount? ThanksNever put tables and chairs in the same room.
If they congregate together for any length of time, they will inevitably hatch plots against you and your pets.

I got a letter yesterday informing me of a goodwill payment of £1115.
I phoned this morning and asked for a cheque and the answer was no problem. They will take any arrears off the amount and pay the balance. It will take up to 14 days though but thats ok. Because the mortgage is a joint one they will split the amount 50 50.

Hi
Ok so the "goodwill" payment is NOT a refund, so where is the refund of the money that was overpaid? Wouldn't get too carried away with all this, at the end of the day they wouldnt just give everyone money if they hadnt done anything wrong!0 -
Goodwill Payment of 1820 pounds. Great news as I am moving homes and the goodwill payment will help me with my deposit. Thank You Halifax!!!0

Thanks for this, mate. After following your advice, I've got a cheque for £250 in the post. LOVELY!

I have a joint account and have been told the chq will under both names. Bit of a pain as we don't have a joint account - any suggestions? I have been told to write in but really wanted to get this sorted quickly
thanks0 -

I called them up yesterday and they confirmed that I have received £3,050 of goodwill payment. I also requested to have this payment made to me by cheque which was not an issue, she said that it will take apprx up to 14 days for me to receive the cheque :j :j
