Have you added your mortgage to your online banking?

If not, you need your mortgage roll number then you can add it.

Just phoned Halifax and i've got the £250 payment. I thought it would have been more as i've been on SVR since last year and our mortgage offer was from June 2007

Shouldn't grumble though as it's better than nothing :)

Were you locked into your SVR?

It's hard though when you read about some of the bigger pay-outs on this thread

In my case however I got a small payment because I have a small mortgage - so I guess in that case my small payment is a good thing!

I couldn't find anything in my offer letter from June 2007 that told me i would be locked in. I can only assume that as my mortgage is in arrears, i am locked into the SVR for that reason. How would i check this?

The amount i thought i would get £1475 would have cleared all of my arrears so i'm a little gutted if i'm honest.

    Thanks

    £2910.00 right here baby! :)

Emma - At work and I don't know the exact balance before the credit so I phoned on 08458 50 37 05 and they told me in less than a minute what the goodwill payment was.

Any chance you can tell me what security questions they ask? I need to phone up for a friend and have all her account details, mother's maiden name, DOB, bank account the mortgage comes from etc. Anything else they ask?

    Thanks x

    Monthly payment
    How payments are made
    Length of mortgage term

Cheers! Didn't want the embarrassment of "forgetting" my mother's maiden name like last time! x

Not sure......Presume it would be in the offer paperwork. Also on my yearly statement it gives details of fees chargeable - perhaps it would also give details of such for locked-in products?

I've not seen the letter yet - perhaps this will cast some light on how the payments were calculated. But in anycase I would certainly ask them

Might as well announce my friend's details here then....£2, 330 payment has gone on to her mortgage which brings it under the £130k mark I think.

Quite worrying how easy it is to pretend I'm her - although they did ask what the original mortgage amount was and I said £160k when it was actually £140k...oops!
