Thanks for all the advice re paying children for helping. I've decided that I'm going to give them responsibilities for the pocket money they are already getting (or will get, in DS2's case). ;) DS1 needs the incentive to find himself a part-time job.

My HHC lasted 45 min, mainly because I was waiting for DS1 to return the hoover. Apart from a few things of the list, I've cleaned the sink (the bowl part, anyway), fed/watered children, washed a few pots and sorted some laundry. Not too bad, but time must be on fast forward today.

    [STRIKE]Wash hair[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Round 3 with Small Cat [/STRIKE]Cat 3 - Mrs Chaos 0
    Finish bathroom
    [STRIKE]hoover LR[/STRIKE]
more laundry (DH has kindly left me the ironing this week) WIP
Call at school to collect stuff
    School work
    Cook tea
Investigate MSE e-mail for Tesco bonus (thanks for the reminder, Mumto5)
Entertain DS2 (currently on Wii, but not for much longer)
[STRIKE]strip beds,[/STRIKE] wash bedding, make beds (mine and DS2's)
    [STRIKE]encourage DS1 to change his bedding[/STRIKE]

ETA Going to set DS2 up with some homework, swap TD/WM over and straighten hair, ready to go out.
  • Thankyou for joining me on the HHC Mrs Chaos,
I managed to get the decluttering/dusting done in the L.room
    Vacced the rooms downstairs
cleaned out a cupboard and threw away some well past it food
    started washing the kitchen floor.
    Ran on a bit.
will be going for another HHC at 1 if anyone wants to join me?

Glad you have stopped upchucking, but take it easy now - and I'm sure you are keeping up your intake of liquids.

Almost mild here today - emptied wet seeds and peanuts out of feeders.

Estate agent's contract is clearly out of date as it includes a section on HIPs. As I'm not actually putting the house on the market yet I'm also not prepared to let them put a board outside. In fact, i probably won't even when I do put it on... I don't want it there where I'm away.

They've offered me either a fixed fee for this one-off, or 1.75% with an offer of £500 off (which is a voucher they're offering generally). The thing is, I do feel that as they're not marketing it in this case then their fee should be lower. They haven't had to do anything as the client specifically asked about houses in this road and I happened to have had a valuation recently. Any suggestions would be welcomed... As I'm not in a rush to sell, and the agent NEEDS this house as no one else round here is even contemplating it, I want to get myself a good deal!
  • linen basket collected by freegler:T and the other item I put on has been spoken for as well but not being collected until Sunday.

must go find my list so you can see all the jobs that Mum Miss A and Master W did:T

Glad you have stopped throwing up and hope you feel stronger soon, Toots. Well done to all of you on clearing some of your jobs list. What are the asterisks * for? On the expandable foam, I bought some the other day from Wilkos to repair a hole under the kids computer desk, they were HIGHLY amused by the giant protuding cone that developed :o but I quickly hacksawed it off and papered over the top, looks great now :D

I've been on a bit of a 'doing a little job you have put off for ages' (thanks Pigpen) kick this week and it has involved glue, foam, paper, screwdrivers and batteries. Hoping DH takes hints and does some of the trickier things too.
