Slob Top Tip: Always keep a few 'Get Well Soon' cards on the mantlepiece. When unexpected visitors arrive you can tell them that you've not been well and that's why the house is untidy. (Viz)

Why do you think I'm in no hurry to take my cards down!:rotfl:

Really tired today so doctor wants to see me again. I've decluttered the dogs to my parents so they get some attention (the dogs not my parents!) and I'm going to rest for a bit.

    Hugs to all xx

Have just got a new bed , partly sprung mattress and partly memory foam:j:jAm I still supposed to turn it over every now n then or what?:o:o

I've got a memory foam topper so it's not quite the same but what I do is turn it 180 deg round rather than turn it over so I feel like I'm giving it a chance to "wear" evenly.

I've washed the cats' blankets today and they're out on the line. Tidied up and prepared veg for dinner. Packed away my vases in a box and put them upstairs (before kitchen is done). It's frustrating knowing that I've got lots of packing away to do but it's too early to do it yet.

Also frustrated watching the grass getting longer but knowing it's really too wet underfoot to cut it and that there will probably be colder weather again soon.

When I'm able to do these things, I won't want to.....

Hall walls painted so i'll let that dry out before i do anymore painting. Ceiling will be done later and hopefully i'll only have to do abit of touch up after that. :D

Our room next and really need to clear out under the cot. Hopefully it won't take to long.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

ooh, know exactly what you mean. We are built on an old meadow with springs so the back garden is bog like at best of times and the moss/grass is growing enthusiastically but is completely uncuttable from October to April-ish :(

Thanks for all your kind wishes - I feel pretty rough but no more sickness thank goodness - havent eaten much yet so thats a bonus for the weight loss:rotfl:

    Sunnygirl
huge (((hugs))) - I am so sorry to hear your bad news - I know you need to be there for your Mum & Dad and thats exactly right but remember honey you cant be strong for everyone - Its the natural thing to do and we all do it but make sure you take some time to relax yourself and re-charge batteries - you have a difficult journey ahead and you will need all your strength to get through - I hope the trial gives your dad some more time and keeps him feeling ok. You know where you are if you need anything xx

mudders how annoying about the fine - yes it is difficult when you use friends for services like that. good to see you are getting back to your usual self - please note i did not say normal:rotfl: cuddles for both you and stripes xx

I really do admire you.I only had one kid due to several miscarriages n other probs n she has turned out to be a SOTD[STRIKE]spawn of the devil[/STRIKE]:(:(
Wish i'd had your no crap approach xx:A
candygirl its not tooooo late to be firm - if she is still living at home then she lives by your rules or moves out! Lay down some simple straightforward things and make sure she does them - her own washing ironing bed changing - keeping her room tidy (to your standards) not hers:rotfl:) even making her own food and clearing up the kitchen afterwards - or you and her take turn about in the kitchen - it will be good practice for her. I know its not that easy ( and I havent had kids!!) but it takes some guts and determination on your part to see it through - at 23 she is not a child - she needs to start acting a bit more responsibly and helping you IMHO - hope I havent offended you (((hugs)))

helen j awh bless her (((hugs))) for you all - dont be hard on yourself honey - you have been very brave over the last few months keeping your own emotions in check for the sake of the children so its not surprising that you got impatient etc - its part of your grieving too. what about a group blub:rotfl: daft as it sounds - maybe to sit down with the kids and talk about Grandad - maybe have some photos out and let any tears come - if they see you upset then it might help them too - i think I am trying to say similar to Valli:o

boddy I have missed something - I hope your cousin will be ok and home soon (((hugs)))

    maxonian nice one!!!:rotfl:
AnW'sMum there is something missing here - noise!!!:rotfl:
candygirl probably not but it should tell you on the bed or a leaflet whether or not you have to turn it
life in termoil - thats a great jobs list for the kids - I hope it works - I am sure they will want the money so it should be an incentive

its bright and blowy here so 1st load on the line and 2nd about to follow and that will be my lot I think - feel very weak still - will probably try to prepare some bits for ebay.

must go find my list so you can see all the jobs that Mum Miss A and Master W did:T

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last
