I am in need of spoons myself at the moment.
But...I can see my bedroom floor and DH has built the pop-up wardrobe so all our clothes have homes! I will have clean bedlinen, a non dusty carpet, and I have convinced him to get rid of some truly minging old clothes.
"That's a good jacket that"...."It has stains all over the collar"...."I'll get it dry-cleaned"...."does it even fit you?"...."I can get it on"...."but you can't do it up!" one-nil to me!!
well done you!
I 'sorted' OH's wardrobe yesterday - 3 jackets evicted - none had the matching trousers, 2 had holes in the linings and one didn't fit!
I just didn't consult him - but I'm confidant he won't notice!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
i also evicted a pair of cords stained with bleach, and didn't consult. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

It's raining again....:(
On the plus side, I'm half way through a batch of marmalade, and have done the main bedroom,:D:D and the boys' room,:D:D which was horrendous. I roped in DS2 to help there, as I can't move the furniture very easily.
Just the stairs to vacuum now, and then the whole house has been done.
Mrs Chaos - and was it dusty as well? Very happy with the Dyson.
The Which report lists Miele as the best buys, followed by Dyson. I don't do bags in vacuums, so didn't want the Miele. They gave an outstanding cleaning for the Dyson on carpet and hard floors, with the drawbacks of being heavy and noisy. This model has a smallish dirt container, so needs emptying frequently, but I don't mind doing that - although fairly horrified at how much dirt there is!
I previously had a bagless Bosch, which went wrong several times, was far heavier, and much noisier. I wanted a Dyson when I bought the Bosch - don't they say you never regret your extravagances, only your economies??
Okay, off to finish marmalade, and start some school work.
Congratulations to greenbee!!:D:j
Love and hugs, especially to lady-liberty, toots, and lamewolfIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
managed to avoid doing bedroom floor, but I did get a carrier bag full of rubbish decluttered from the top of two chest of drawers, floor cleaning will have to be tomorrow, I only have enough energy after work for cooking tea and washing up.
jinky - my daughter started a job just before christmas and some days she cant get a lift or public transport, it costs her £20 in taxi fare, she is looking into all sorts of ways to get to work including a bike, don't give up on the job until you have done the maths, it might not be as bad as you think:)Sue
Do I need to eat it
Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T0 -
I'll have to tidy up downstairs and produce something for tea!!! As there is no freezer space, I'll have to do it on Sunday morning
ETA... bother... emailed estate agent last night and she has people who want to come and look round. House is a tip. They want to come on Saturday (can't... I'm out) or any evening after 5.15. If i'm having to tidy up for Sunday afternoon I guess I'd better go for early next week...
You could feed your friend something from the freezer.
Well done on the interest in your house - that was quick.
Pigpen - keeping a baby clean, fed and happy is not nothing!
Jinky - I'm kind of with dusty, but working and being worse off doesn't sound right, unless it is going to lead to something better very soon. Is there a chance of sharing taxis with others on the same shift?
My approved food order was here early and we've borrowed the cat basket, but so far Small Cat has resisted any attempts to catch her. We're now waiting until she's hungry again, so we can have another go. The vet is open until 6.30, so I hope we're going to manage it in time. I've stocked up on cheap cat food (Aldi and B&M), but not bought litter tray etc yet.
Now AF and a cold have decided to pay a visit, so I've just had some lemsip. Anyone for a HHC at 15.30?0 -
Just want to say I'm still here this week...but yesterday was a nightmare and today has been sorting that out. Landing's done, master bedroom is level one'd and my kitchen isn't finished from yesterday....utility is a BIT better.0

I have sold to previous house when they looked a right mess, the first house was 2 days before I got married and i was up to my armpits in baking for the pre wedding tea I was having round my mums. There was a sink full of dishes the kitchen looked like an explosion in mr kiplings factory. the second house wasn't even finished decorating had no carpet in a couple of rooms and loads of bits and pieces to finish off.0 -
hugs and spoons to grateful, LL, & LW
