If you need any info just ask - born and bred in Peterborough and now live about 9 miles away but still work and shop there. Also work in education so bit of knowledge about schools too!

:j:j:j ElisaMoose - I may just do that - I am researching houses, schools, catchment areas all at the same time... Its slightly overwhelming when you dont really know the area. OH tries to help but hes never had to look at schools or catchment areas etc! :rotfl:

They dont exactly make it clear which streets put you in which school, so would appreciate some info on that if you can help - will PM you though and keep it off the thread. thank you :A

I've done really well in DS2's bedroom, thorough clean behind furniture etc, just need to finish the last bit once dinner is cooking. DS2&3 clothes sorted and list written of what is needed - not too much for now as both have some shorts/Tshirts which will fit from last year.

Jo - I don't think catchment applies if you are moving into an area (think your DS is Year 4?). The county should help you find a place but even if you live next door to a primary if it is full for his year group it is full. Worth considering for the secondary though if you plan to say that long.

Thanks for the hugs, one very small child now in bed and not a peep out of him. :D

Other children have been told to stop fighting or i'm throwing all their toys out, so they have calmed down for now. They will be in bed soon.;)

I've made a good start on the front hall, coffee table in there has been cleared, filing all put away, recycling out and top of filing thing cleared. I did find the other wii remote in the coal bag (Rhys again). Coal bag now in back hall where he can't get near it, pram in livingroom for now but i need to find a proper home for it. Paint all stacked up and hopefully it will be out of the house by the weekend. Found all bits of paper with phone numbers so i'll keep them together and put them properly in my book at the weekend. Still need to pull the coffee table out and clear behind it and go through all the drawers. Need to find a home for all the cd's on the windowsil too.

Cuppa and then i'll carry on, hubby can do food when he gets back as well as, tighten kitchen chair, put some things out in the shed, sort football programs and bring in sticks. Need to keep him very busy.:rotfl: And if he doesn't do it i'm throwing the whole lot out, well except me chair. ;)
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Valli - I have lived on the breadline/hand-to-mouth or whatever Vanessa wants to call it. Ive never made chicken nuggets for my little one.... They were too expensive :D.... cheap cuts of meat, vegetables, my slow cooker, dried foods and home baking were a much cheaper way to live! :rotfl:

Ok, dishes done, WM emptied - AGAIN. Bathroom swished, bedroom straighted and decluttered (kinda...), back to the clothes...

ETA - Vanilla, my LO had an absolute tantrum earlier on when I kicked him off the laptop and his beloved 'club penguin' after he gave me a mouthful of cheek about answering the phone. I sent him to his room and he sat up there rooting and tooting and crying and shouting. He kept banging and slamming things too.... So i told him if he slammed one more thing his membership was getting cancelled. He sat up there for another HH or so crying and shouting and when he got it all out of his system, he came down and apologised.

This helps in no way, other than to tell you, your not alone. hugs xx

You could feed your friend something from the freezer. ;) Well done on the interest in your house - that was quick.
Nothing suitable in the freezer... I'll need to make a cake or something like that. I'm inviting people over for Sunday lunch too which might help! As for the house, I haven't officially put in on the market, just had a valuation, but if it saves the hassle that's great (plus I'll negotiate the agent's fees down as I haven't engaged them yet, and they won't have done any marketing).
I have sold to previous house when they looked a right mess, the first house was 2 days before I got married and i was up to my armpits in baking for the pre wedding tea I was having round my mums. There was a sink full of dishes the kitchen looked like an explosion in mr kiplings factory. the second house wasn't even finished decorating had no carpet in a couple of rooms and loads of bits and pieces to finish off.
Good to hear :) I do need to clear it up enough for them to be able to get round the house and see roughly what it looks like inside! At the moment you have to climb over a basket of dirty laundry to get into my study...

    Level One
[STRIKE]Declutter and sweep floor![/STRIKE] will mop before bed
[STRIKE]Wipe sticky grubby marks from sofas[/STRIKE] i have washed the sofa covers as they are removable and they will go back on once they have dried on radiators
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe sticky grubby marks from walls and paintwork[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]sweep under furniture you can safely move..[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Dust and deweb light fittings, picture rails and other fluffy places!![/STRIKE] and i wiped down the skirting boards and doors
    Level Three
Clear and wipe and cupboards/sideboards in here[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]10 minute hotspot clearance...[/STRIKE]and don't just stuff it all in a drawer!
Polish any glass.. screens, pictures, ornaments mirrors etc

so i will do the bathroom first thing in morning and then just hope she does not go in the bedrooms:o

and i have learnt my lesson to stop avoiding the hard bits...

i will be back next week and get to level 3 more routinely - i am now convinced it is worth it ...
