  • Jinky I know it is good to have a job, get out and meet new people, but you should not be worse off because you are working imho, Silver x

Morning all - I'm mixing and matching tuesday and wednesday lists to catch up a bit - so far the dw's on, and the hall, stairs and landing are done. off to empty dw and clear the kitchen decks - have friends coming over on friday night so need to kick my bottom (hard to reach though - do feel free to administer bottom kicks to help out!)

If you feel your not making a substantial increase from working then I personally wouldnt bother. No point having more stress and slogging your guts out for very little in return.

Sorry but I fundamentally disagree with this on so many different levels. If you are offered work and can do it then I think it is right to give it a fair go. Being in employment increases self esteem, is good for the economy and makes you more employable for other jobs which hopefully will pay more. Good on you Jinky for going out there and getting a job. How many trials do you have to do? I agree trials without pay is very cheeky. Is there a chance of some shifts where you could use public transport.

Normally I would agree about the benefits of getting a job and offer my good wishes but not if taking the job affects your income to the point that you risk losing the roof over your head.

    Hi there,
    Just to say 'hi'!
I am still reading/lurking, still cleaning too, but back is bad again so just doing as and when I can....if I add it up over the week I probably will have done a lot of what is on the lists, just not at the same time as you lot lol!
Hope all are ok, hugs/vibes to those who need them!

ETA Jinky, not sure what to say about the job situation (although I thought you lived in Manchester now ?), hope you get something sorted out!
