A rather feeble hello from under the blanket on the sofa. Got back from the GP about 07:30, with the mix-up over my anti-d's sorted, and a shiny new prescription for a higher dose of sustained-release morphine. Flaked out and slept til 11:00.:(

But my lovely, lovely Mr LW was brilliant;:A he got ahead with this morning's tasks last night by making his lunch box up (usually does this in the morning),:A put the plates/dishes out ready for breakfast, :Aand was so helpful this morning getting my joints moving , :Aand generally helping me get bathed and dressed in good time to get out of the door at 06:45.:A He really does deserve something more than this old crock.

Today will, I think, be gentle fluttering, after I've caught up with Fred and dealt with my email.

xx_Jo_xx lovely pictures of Asbo-Dog; I was worried that he was no longer with us, but I see he's brightening up your Mum's life, so that's wonderful. They sure do make it worth getting out of bed in the mornings – I find it much easier when I've got a canine house-guest.:) Ooh, and re moving in with OH – based on my own experience – GO FOR IT!! Best thing I ever did was moving in with Mr LW.;)

Katiecat don't beat yourself up; you've a lot on your plate at the moment, the house isn't going to turn into a tip if you leave it this week. See if you can manage the Level 1s next week; but obviously your Dad comes first. Take care of yourself. (((HUG)))

Froddy pics of your furries are always welcome! As are turtle pics, Shellysue. :o
Normally I would agree about the benefits of getting a job and offer my good wishes but not if taking the job affects your income to the point that you risk losing the roof over your head.
CS has succinctly put exactly my thoughts on this, Jinky. When I was with the Valuation Office, we had a lady come to work with us, who lasted a month, for the simple reason that additional child care was costing more than her wages, so it wasn't financially viable. She was sad to leave, but she literally couldn't afford to come to work.

Right, lunch has now been decluttered, so I'm going to go and poke the smoke alarm.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Crafty scholar that was exactly what I meant but you put it into words better, Silver x
Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

    hi guys

Greenbee Congratulations on the promotion, that's wicked news :D x

Congrats Jo what a big step it is tho, you're braver than me lol

Hugs for LL as always xx

Jinky Usually I say any job is better than no job but if you risk losing a roof over your head then it's a non-starter, what is it your doing? waitressing? If it is maybe there are tips to take into consideration? I know you can't rely on them as part of your income but when my DD1 was waitressing she could get up to £80 tips on one shift, she was better off than me lol......I don't like the sound of the trials tho, did he not even offer you expenses? Personally I wouldn't work for someone that was clearly taking the pish.

Got work at 2.30 but have done absolutely nothing since I got up :o sorted the rabbits and made food, tidied LR table but that's pretty much it.

Just having a lunch break for sustenance before tackling the kids rooms, shower room done :D

Jinky will you actually 'loose the roof over your head' if you take the job? That wasn't the impression I got from your initial post more that you could only just afford it in your current situation. Obviously I would not advocate you taking the job if you'd become homeless! If however, you can only just afford it then getting a job so that you can afford it more comfortably in the future has got to make sense. Are there many jobs available where you are? If you pass on this one are the chances of others coming up likely? Can you find out what the staff turnover is like and the possibility of tips? CYs cycling idea could be a good one if it is safe to do so if not for this then maybe for another job. I know PenPen cycling to work as do many of my friends. DH cycles to the station each day as the cost of parking/petrol would be about £25 at least a week. Good luck with whatever you decide and well done for being offered a job in the first place.

Time for a quick cuppa and then off I go.

Just gave DS3 some mini eggs and he said, they remind me of when I broke my elbow - he'd been eating some just before it happened :(

Tip run done this morning and i need 2 new tyres, they didn't have them so looks like i'm to go back up again tomorrow. I knew that would happen.

Since we've got back we've been cutting sticks, now out of petrol so i'll get it on school run and we'll get more done tonight when kids are asleep. :D

DD's club has been cancelled for tonight so i'll keep the seats down in the car and fill it with junk from the big shed. At least it will be more rubbish gone.:)

Flying wise the dw and wm have both been on and the td will go on now as well as another load of washing. I want all the washing sorted before the school run so i best move.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Did more work this moring than I intended to but was caught doing extra by the boss. He gave me a payslip and a payrise!!!!!:j:jMy payslip included the extra hours I did in January so I've got some extra money to pay for all the unexpected things that have just cropped up. My niece's hen do is £77 per ticket! It's ladies day at the Epsom Oaks so it will be worth it but it's still alot of money to find.

DH should be home by 4 so I need to make him some food as he's had no money to eat - blinking stupid bank.

DS1 & 2 have cleaned the LR. They are camped in there on the PS3 and it was a right state.

Made a start on the Master bedroom before work this morning but I want to put away the ironing I did this morning so I'll carry on. The top of my chest of drawers is in major need of AnW's Dot-to-Dot treatment. I will update my lists later.
  • Hugs for lady liberty and spoons for lamewolf.

I am in need of spoons myself at the moment.

But...I can see my bedroom floor and DH has built the pop-up wardrobe so all our clothes have homes! I will have clean bedlinen, a non dusty carpet, and I have convinced him to get rid of some truly minging old clothes.

"That's a good jacket that"...."It has stains all over the collar"...."I'll get it dry-cleaned"...."does it even fit you?"...."I can get it on"...."but you can't do it up!" one-nil to me!!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
