Morning all,
Dry here and quite a breeze, dd stripped her bed yesterday so that is in the wm now, after thats done I will shove ours in, and get both out on the line today.
Sis and bil came round last night for an Indian takeaway, it was a really nice evening nice food and wine
The home where dad is advised us not to go for a couple of days to give him chance to settle, so not sure if we will go today or not.
DD is off to a sleepover tonight, so peacefull here, want to get the dogs out later on too, we took them for a nice long walk yesterday, and mums dog jumps in every puddle and bit of mud she can find, she is filthy
, will have to bath her before she goes back, but no point doing it yet as she will just get dirth again.
Must be roast pork day today, we have it too, with roasties and veg, might have to nip to the shop for apple sauce as OH loves it, and I dont think we have any.
Hester hope your bumps go down xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning! Been up since 6 as Mrs Begley is working today. Done 2 loads of washing already! Off to London Tuesday with daughter and some friends(got the train tickets for £5 each, return!), so have searched and found a load of vouchers for cheap grub. I'm planning a big cook up today - please refer to haddock query!!!! Have a good Sunday all.0

Kit77 I'm thinking of doing a sewing course too. Have to look into it properly asap as I keep forgetting to see what's around.
Like the rest of you, damp and cold here today. Stayed up a bit late with DD2 playing UNO. Great craic!!!!
The few hobnobs I made yesterday have all but disappeared and the banana honey cake was horrible. I think it's because the quantity was too small and it's just not sweet. Like a rubbery plate really.
Off to have a wee browse at the OS board and then off into the kitchen for my usual Sunday morning treat. Our local BBC 3CR treasure quest on the radio while I get something cooked or prepared for later.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Morning folks, not to a bad morning here, its dry anyway with a slight breeze. Washing will be hung out shortly as its OH working clothes - jeans, boilersuit, jacket etc so at least if it gets an airing will dry quicker in the TD. WM is on, TD is on, but forgot to take stewing steak out of the freezer last night, so will have to change round the meal plan somehow. Didnt get chance to do lemon curd yesterday so that has moved onto todays list, and definately going to have a go at cleaning upstairs as its like 'Paddy's market', never been touched for weeks. OH is on about tidying under the stairs as well.......if I open the door and dont run quick enough I will be buried under the stuff that will fall out. Its great to get a hand but he either throws everything out or its a continual what will I do with this.......so I can see my tongue being sore by the end of the day with having to bite it:rotfl: Its amazing how when the days get longer you start to see the shortcuts you have taken over the winter.
First things first though - will go and put the kettle on and have another cuppy.
have a good dayEvery days a School day!0 -
morning everyone, wonder if I can ask a question. I'm going to Marks for some food shopping and intend buying the chicken and apple pie for £5 but wonder if I should roast or slow cook the chicken? Haven't roasted a chicken for ages.0

Morning all!! I feel back to normal today!
Got to make soup, lasange (including the pasta!) and sausage rolls today. as well as do the housework i didn't manage yesterday.
OH went out last night with his friends, so i don't think we will see him anytime before 1pm - when he has a lay in or hangover the dog also feels the need to stay in bed for as long as possible so i shall mostly be on my lonesome today!!
My weight loss seems to have stalled which has annoyed me ever so slightly. I know i've not been as good as i could have been so i am going to have to work on that this week!

Morning All,
Bright and sunny up here this morning
EDI - I would roast it, I have done the SC chicken once and it seemed lovely and tender but the stench was awful
I don't mind the smell of roast chicken at all but I did not like that one bit.

Well its football day here today again, the Old Firm gane early afternoon, and the Cubs' football tournament this afternoon. I love football but I could do without one or other of them today. Lunch will be soup and bread, dinner I fancy going out, so we'll see - if not it will be kebabs as we ended up having stir fry last night, which was delicious. Need to do a food shop too, which I will do after football as it is near a supermarket anyway, I think the boys will be having packups all week as I am not amused by the school dinners this last wee while, its been short of one thing or the other almost every day and they children are still paying the same price. They have always taken packups but I wanted them to try having warm food through the winter this year.
Anyway I am wittering on, I hope you all have lovely days, hugs spoons and hifives all round.
