  • Morning, everyone. I don't normally post on the Daily Thread but hope you don't mind me joining in. :) I've got my to-do list all planned out for today and am trying to get started ;) Honest! The slow cooker has just gone on with some venison in - I don't buy it often and thought we needed a bit of a treat so when I saw some from a local supplier yesterday I bought some casserole meat. It's in the slow cooker now with some red wine, herbs & garlic, mushrooms and onions and will cook away happily all day. I'll turn it into a pie later, and it'll do us for two days, so easy tea tomorrow night too.

We'd planned a bit of a tidy up day today - both DH and I are having difficulty getting started. I'm sure it'll get together eventually and the cup of coffee (slowly going cold on the desk beside me) will kick me into action. The kitchen and bathroom are my main ports of call today, as well as the ironing, and while normally I don't mind the ironing it feels a chore! Some days are just like that though so I'm not going to fret. I might also make some chocolate mousses for the freezer a bit later too - the last batch was a huge success, using the little Gu pots from previous desserts ;) For the cost of about 2 of the Gu I'll be able to make 8, so I'm chuffed with them. :) I want to get a bit more done on my sewing. This cross-stitch project is going to take me a couple of years to finish at this rate!

Cranky - hope you manage to get everything you need to done.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Morning !!!

OH has left now, so won't see him till late Sunday night at the earliest. Just as he was leaving it starting snowing lightly.
I was going to out for the day, but going to leave it till tomorrow now. Its blooming freezing, and my legs are aching at the mo.
I just prefer full on rain or snow, right now its cold sleet / rain. Which i can't be dealing with.

Boys are quite happily watching tv and playing, so will do stuff with them in a bit. Have loads to do, but just going to take it easy.

Going to watch a film later with HM popcorn, so should be good.

    Have a good day all!

    Mornng all,

Been up for ages, but just pottering around, I have two small loads to wash, one is just about finished, will hang them on the rads, as its raining here too. Need to hoover through and dd needs to tidy her room.

Sis and I went to see dad yesterday :( it was so upsetting, one of the other residents had told him to F off, and it really scared and upset my dad, he was refusing to eat or drink, and he would not use the loo, he was holding our hands and begging and pleading with us to take him home, I told him we couldn't as mum was away, and he said that he would be good and just sit in the chair. In the end we had to come away as we were all upset, and then I had to lie to mum when she phoned and say he was ok.

Sis and I discussed it, and thought we might bring him home and have him for half the week each, but neither of us know how to do his insulin jab, so we dont think we can :( as we came away he was begging us, and threatened to jump out of the window if we left him, sis and I dont know if we should see him today or let him settle, its all so hard.

Dinner tonight is either an indian takeaway with sis, or tacos,we keep trying to get together for a meal but something always gets in the way.

v8monkeyboy a womans instincts are seldom wrong, I would keep contact to a minimum, and casaually drop into the conversation how much you love your OH and that you would never do anything to hurt him xx

Mummysaver :T:j Congratulatons to you xxxx :D

Hope all the poorlys feel better soon, have good days all xx

Tracey Your heels sound like they have the same problem as mine before. The most painful bit for me was when I got up to walk after sitting for even a couple of minute. It was awful. My GP hit the nail on the head for me. I had got a pair of pretty flat shoes with very little heel in them. Basically, it's a thing called plantar tendon fasciitis. The only remedy is to never wear very flat shoes. At home now I have a pair of sandals with a heel about a good inch high. I wear them as soon as I come in and feel the pain starting if I even walk around for a minute or 2 in bare feet. For walking outside ( I don't do heels) I wear trainers (just not the very flat heeled ones).
Give this a try. You will be amazed at the difference within minutes.
