silvermaid wrote: »V8 - take a lot of care. Sympathy and kindness can be taken the wrong way. Is OH's friend in a relationship? I have a couple of friend's partners / husbands who are a bit too touchy feely. I try to make sure I am not alone with them and if that does happen I make sure I am busy doing something.
I know exactly what you mean, and no he's just broken up with hid girlfriend of 7 years as she cheated on him. He's always been very huggy, even when OH is here, and neither of us consider it a problem. Just last night there was something out of sync - his hands were too far across the table towards me, a bit more eye contact, very solicitous etc.
I don't know - it's probably something or nothing, but I've been thinking about it all morning which is not something I'd do. I'll probably not see him this week and wait until OH comes home. We chat on the phone quite a bit so I'll try and keep it to hat.
Also - I've located the OH :j He sounds very very rough and was asleep when I calledBearing in mind he's 5 1/2 hrs ahead of us, it was a hard, very late night it would seem - serves him right if he feels rough.
Snow's still coming down - quite heavy now and the road is covered, as are the trees and bushes. Will call my friend in a bit and see if she wants to postpone until tomorrow.

Morning my lovelies
Peeing it down hereIt would appear snow is further oop North so if anyone wants to swap I am keen
Can cope with snow, not with rain.
Got to take H's scooter to garage to be fixed as it's having loss of power. So me and the kids will go in our car and H will follow on the bike (it's a drive away, not that local so needs a lift back). This will all happen once he's got out of bed. He's tired (was up late), has a headache and moaning because it's raining. Will we last the day without me killing him if his mood doesn't improve :rotfl:
No other plans, were going to take the kids to a country park but given how much it's raining it won't be pleasant so I foresee a day at home, bakiing and making things with the kids I think. DS will be bouncing off the walls no doubt!
Not sure whats for tea, fancy the rest of a steak pie and chips <drools> with some peas too <drools even more>
V8 - Sorry but alarm bells would be ringing. Why would he suddenly need more reassurance when your OH is away? Be wary, very wary.
Nic1 - Have a good time out with your DD and if you're really desperate for some more washing and ironing you are welcome to have mine
Hester - I dare you to say to the Bursar when they're moaning about costs "sorry I have no comment I am not important enough"
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning all!
Whoopee I have new laptop, so I can post again! Have read intermittently, but it's a real faff to post via my phone! Have missed being on here though, had a few changes in life which has kept me busy: oh and I came to an end, I gave up working nights and am no longer nocturnal, working days is fab as I'm now awake at the same time as most of the rest of my world, and the biggest news, I am expecting a baby - currently known as spud by the kids, due to the lumpy outline on the scan pic!
OS stuff today will involve mucho tidying, cleaning and washing! DW already going and need to throw on the WM and BM before I drive the kids to meet their dad. Coming home via the garage as want to have a looksee at the cars, second hand and cheap is the priority, well actually reliable is the main priority lol! At least I'll get an idea of what I can afford - a bicycle made for two most likely!
Lunch for the kids will prob be Nandos, as it is their current fave when out with their dad, for me it'll prob be a quick sarnie. Dinner will be soup I think, need to use up a few veggies at the back of the fridge, and the kids can fill up on extra bread if they need it, but usually they are still full from lunch.
Much love and hugs to all, and will pop back in later, off for a mooch around OS board now xxxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning folks, its dark, wet and windy here, the snow that was forecast has not materialised thank goodness. Not venturing far this weekend as my front tooth filling fell out yesterday and I cant get an appointment until Monday - what a sight!!!! No doubt that will cost a fortune as the dentist spoke about when it needed renewed doing more work and putting a veneer etc on it - absolutely petrified of the dentist so we will see!
Plans for today is to pop to the local shop as need to get the chicken fillets I got - 38 for £21 from the local factory - into the freezer but have no freezer bags. Have a butternut squash I am going to make soup with, lemons for HM lemon curd (never made it before but will have a go - if anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated), have Sister in Law for tea tonight so will make a creamy chicken and mushroom casserole and a carrot cake and some choc brownies for suppertime. Very nervous baking for when she visits as she is the best baker I know. She runs a farm shop and everything is baked from scratch. Other than that I an going to do very little and treat myself to watching Saturday kitchen for a change!
Hugs to all who need one, have a good dayEvery days a School day!0 -

Morning all:j:j
Well its pouring of rain here:mad:
The twins have gone off to there dance class. Im not meeting them after as its raining too much. My wife is going to pop into aldi on her way back and pick up a few things, We have an internet shop due tomorrow.
My SIL normaly comes to take the twins too ther dance class with my wife on a saturday, but this morning my MIL turned up to take them???? Saying that SIL had stoped the night at her Boyfriends house, So not sure whats going on there as she shops there for a least harf the week anyway which includs most weekends and she sill picks the tinws up??? Very strange. Im wondering if she has had a bust up with him, She was around here friday tea time last week, and he phoned her up and they ended haveing a row over what was going on that friday night. They have been together 8 years and are still no closer to moving in with each other or any other commitment. Still each too there own.
Not much planned for today, bits of tidying up to be done. My sife will have the WM on most of the day.
I might have me a sleep laster on when the twins have there afternoon nap.
Not sure what we are going to be doing to dinner tonight, But lunch will be homemade butternut and garlic soup.
Well have a great day all:j:j:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

Good morning everyone
I don't seem to get on here much. It is half term now so mornings will be a bit calmer. It has snowed overnight and is still coming down so the boys football is cancelled. Lots of os planned for today - catching up. Hopefully the house will be much cleaner and tidier by this evening.
Have a good day everyone - off to catch up now.
