Raining here as well. OH has been to Wickes to get some more stuff. (He's building wardrobes in the back bedroom for me.)
Waiting for a man to come and assess my garden. Need him to take up the gravel and lay slabs and build raised beds. Don't know how much yet though:eek:
Hester I had the same sort of problems as you, only mine were with the Headteacher.:o I was lucky and got out on medical grounds. Stress like that can make you really ill. What is it with schools?
I have no feet at the moment. They have gone completely numb, and everytime I walk it feels like I'm walking on broken glass with shooting pains up my legs:( :(Not nice at all.

Morning All.
this face here today. DS1 isn't feeling well, nor am I, so we are staying home in the rain. DH is taking DS2 to his football match and got in the big car, I was in the kitchen and could hear an awful noise, went to the livingroom window and the car was making the most awful chugging noise! Queue me waving like a maniac, and OH looking at me as if I was crazy - he couldn't hear it! So he's now taken the other car, huffing and puffing and moaning all the way. It sounds like it possibly only needs oil, so I will do that, and check all the fluid levels and see how it goes, its due a service anyway and the MOT is up in a few weeks. Worry worry worry
OS here is more of the same, I cleaned the bedclothes yesterday and my winter duvet, so that will be in the TD all dayNeed to bake and dinner tonight is hm kebabs.
Congrats on the baby mummysaver, V8MB sounds like keeping your distance is a good idea. Hillstep, that sounds really worrying, you take care.
Hugs hi fives and spoons where required. Be back later.

Morning all.
Have not posted for a few days as was back on nightshift but off for 4 days now so lots to do.
It's snowing here so i think i will take the chance to stay indoors and get the house back to some sort of order.
OH and I were sat up talking late last night and we both have decided to being more frugal. We do waste a stupid amount of money so I am going to take some time out today to have a serious look at our outgoings.
So WM is on. TD is on.
Bedding to be washed
OH is out for a stag do tonight so it's just me and the kids for dinner and we are going to have breaded chicken breast, totties, carrotts and sweetcorn.
Have a good day all.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00

Hi All,
I'm here using my laptop (putting off doing the ironing), WM is on the go though. DH is on call today but he gets paid extra to do it - just shoved him out the door (trying to pay off the credit cards so this will really help). I work full-time and had yesterday off and am off for Half Term as well, to spend some time with my Toad (petname for DS). Managed to get the shopping done yesterday - so don't have to go out today.
Things that have got to do today:
1) Ironing
2) Tidy the bedroom (I'm sure that a goblin comes into my bedroom at night and throws things around - one minute it's tidy, the next it's a tip!)
3) Revision
4) Repair some clothes
Things that would be nice to do today:
1) To go for a nice long walk with Toad and Dog in the woods - (if it brightens up a bit, the rain is mizzling here, I'd much rather it heavy or not at all!)
2) Read a bit more of my book
V8MonkeyBoy - I'd be cautious... do you feel comfortable enough with him to say something like "I'm getting mixed signals from you - I like you as a friend, and I'll be here to support you - but I am in love with OH"?Always be yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn - then always be a Unicorn !

Hester Enjoy your week off. Sounds like you need it.
Hilstep Your feet sound really worrying!
Today, just myself and the kids at home. Very wet and cold here.
Got literally money for milk til the end of the month and that's it!!! Is anyone else finding their money not going as far? A couple of months ago, I had the same monthly budget, and we were able to have much more fish for example.
Have some clothes mending to do. Have to post on maybe the store cupboard thread as I have no treats in the tin, and no sugar or syrup to bake with. Oh, and no plain flour. Will have to go through the cupboards and post a list of what I have that I could possibly make something with. I have at least got popcorn, so that will help a lot.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

I have been suffering with painful heels - near enough all day for ages -hobbling like an old lady at times! (go to bed with painful heels, wake up with them etc), I did an internet search last night to see if there was a stretch or something I could do to ease the pain. I tried one last night - bear with me as I try to explain it! (Don't try this though if you've had an accident recently or sprained your ankle or anything). Sit on the floor or your bed with your legs out straight in front of you, get a belt and loop it around the ball of one of your feet and pull the belt gently towards you - hold the stretch for a count of 10-20, then release it and do the other foot. This should not cause pain so IF IT HURTS STOP DOING IT!
Anyhoo I did this last night, and when I got up this morning, I wasn't hobbling as much as I normally would. So I'm going to stick with this stretching in the morning & evening and see if it improves things for me.
Hope it helps for you!Always be yourself, unless you can be a Unicorn - then always be a Unicorn !

Morning All
Got up about 7 and then went back to bed. Just laid reading my book and listening to the radio. Bliss. The weather is between rain/sleet and snow but grey and not very inspiring anyway. Just need to go out later for a couple of bits and bobs.
HH - stay strong in that job, Bursers/Heads were sent to try us!
Beemuzed - Hope you enjoy your night out.
V8 - I have a similar problem but it has escalated. I am on my own and a family friend (married) has made his feelings known. I must admit it is nice to have the attention but is wrong on every count. I am very friendly with his OH and couldn't do anything to hurt her (plus I don't fancy him!!!). Be careful.
Hilstep - Think you may need that looking at.
Washing is just about up to date, going to have a hoover round in a bit and clean the bathrooms. I also have a big pile of ironing to do.
Enjoy your Saturdays all. Take care. XX0 -
Good morning,
Mostly slum clearance on the agenda today as I am fed up of living in one. It isn't normally this bad, but I've been in a lot of pain this week, so it's slid a bit. Today I am tackling Mr Arthur Itis head on. The heating is on and I've taken some painkillers. I've cleaned the toilets and the fish tank (not keen on either job). I will shortly be setting off with a binbag, duster and polish and the hoover for the top of the house. My plan is to work my way down. I also need to change 2 lightbulbs in the big bathroom. It was only 1 until this morning, but as it's now more it's worth getting the ladder out for :rotfl:
I've put a load of washing in too, and would like to get some ironing done, but we'll see.
V8 listen to your instincts. That will tell you a lot.
Hester If I ever win millions on the lottery, I promise you'll never have to go back to that place.
Hilstep I hope your feet come back soon, and it's not going to be a permanent thing.
Take care all of you0
