The hobnobs sound like Anzac bikkies minus the dessicated coconut. Mmmm :j

I've had quite a good day:

Bought some sustainably sourced salmon on special at Mr S
Had my first white chocolate magnum of the year (I know, not money saving, but it's spring!!)
Sunbathed for an hour or so in the garden... used some old sunburn cream, which still seems to be working, which is good
    Had an afternoon nap!
Planted out a live salad I bought last week, some more seed potatoes and repotted some chard... now that it has some room to grow I'm hoping it will zoom away and give me lots of lovely ruby red leaves
Dropped tomorrow's lunch on my filthy kitchen floor :(
Ate the dropped lunch for dinner this evening :rotfl:
Made a salad for lunch for the next two days using up some barley that has been sitting in my cupboard for years. It tastes surprisingly good!

I hope everyone else was able to get out and enjoy this glorious weather!

    Been an ok day.

I've successfully sorted out my ISA transfer, earning me a whole extra £14 a year on my balance. :o Savings need to improve a bit this financial year.

Surveys - managed a survey network one for 80p, they say my current balance is £18.40, so i should reach redeem this week. i did a yougov survey for 50p, now £31 there. I also did a shopand scan survey for an extra £1.50, and i joined vivatic last night and got my balance to £4 on there.

Other than that, a NSD as i had a bang to the head and daren't drive to the shops, so consequently we are now night time training DS2 as we ran out of nappies. Could be :j or could be .

DY £50 cheque was requested today so hopefully i will see that later in the month.

    Hope you are okay

If you saw stars at the time, if you notice any differences to your vision (ie black spots, flashes of light) in the next couple of months then perhaps get your eyes checked out. SOMETIMES these symptoms together can mean damage to your retina which can be sorted out no problemo - as I well know after being hit on the head by a full wine bottle :o
  • Today........
    • my mum gave me £20 to "buy myself something".....dont need anything at the minute so have paid this off the mortgage
    • Only 2 of the ebay items sold for a total of £2.98 ...not much but i will overpay it when it hits the bank account
    • Had dinner in aunts
    • Have spent all day cleaning the house and it is so tidy, i can hardly believe it.......not exactly MFW but makes me feel much more organised
on the not so good side DD spilt a glass of water over my mobile phone and it it not working ...am going to leave it a few days to see if it drys out, if not will have to buy a new one!

I didn't see stars but it hurt. My youngest caught me to the back of the head with a croquet mallet he was trying to hit a tree with. I was digging at the time so bent over. I have been a bit headachey today, but i seem ok now.

WABL can you stand your mobile in a tub of rice to absorb the moisture? I've heard people say that it works. Also if it is on leave it on, and off, leave it off till it drys. Worth a try.

I feel a bit of a cheat. I did a review on my kids climbing frame the other week, and i noticed that a couple of the component parts (slide etc) are in the catalogue to review. I have just added the rest of them in my suggestions. After all, if they add them, then each one is worth 60p at the moment, and you do have to buy them separately, so why not review them separately. I hope they all get accepted, as i am back up to £6 already and i am in the mood to review. :rotfl:

Hhhmmm, not posted a 'what I've done' list for a few days......thats because I haven't really done a lot

    * Managed my spreadsheets obsessively, done some budget giggery pokery to try and increase my regular OP

    * Worked hard at keeping my MPG down - at least most journeys I do

    * Charging iphone at work

    * Tonights dinner is left over veg which I'll have with pasta and some grated cheese

    * Going straight out from work tomorrow night and not worth spending petrol money on coming home - so working late, something from the freezer plus Aldi Microwavable rice for dinner

    * Closed an old savings account I don't use and got £1.04 in cash, straight in piggy bank :D

    * Found an old dog-earred book voucher (that I'd been given as a pressie) and bought a Travel Guide for my holiday later in year

    * My sister wants some Makeup for her bday - got her two Eye Shadow compacts from Boots both with money off (and earned double advantage points) and then tonight am doubling up a clubcard vouchers to get her the Lipfinity she wants - will cost half the price that way

    * Went in Lush on Saturday. Smelt every single bar of soap, some twice, and walked away without buying any. It was a close call though

    * Going to my local Sainsburys Petrol Station tonight - its a couple of miles out of my way but I need to fill up and have a voucher for 5p a litre off. Someone nice gave me the voucher :)
