today planning on making some cakes and egg mayo from some bits that need using and that will probably involve bananas! (the cakes that is!)0 -
Haven't been on here recently, but I have been being good!
- Lots of Onepoll visits - now at £36ish, abandoned it for a long time because of the slooooow surveys, so am pleased that things seemed to have improved at long last!
- Have found a new home on the 'freebies no spend required' board - had free innocent veg pots, goodfella's pizzas, hovis bread, skittles, bailey's minatures, trip to the cinema...the list goes on and has provided a couple of free meals and some nice treats!
- Have just shifted the money around for my Halifax fiver.
- Trying to keep up with the surveys from the companies I really like!
- Oh and started making bread- so much nicer and cheaper
Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Sorry to hear about your dishwasher USA. Never at a good time is it.
I am not good at posting here, after starting it, but I do still try to do the small things.- Without realising, spent money in sportsdirect, and because my CC was registered via quidco, we got 50p cashback
- got a new job at ChaCha. Putting in too many hours, but earnt £250 in my first month, which more than helps.
- car insurance renewal quote came in. Did a gocompare via Q.co for £1.50, and when the only cheaper company was some random one I have never heard of, I did some playing round with the details and took another 6 pounds off the quote. Happy with that.
- I'm still doing dooyoo and ciao.
- surveys have slipped a bit, but there are only so many hours in a day.
- rather than buy an expensive coat for my pooch, I made him a knitted jumper myself with wool I already had, so no cost but my time.
- we have a late glut of tomatoes after the nice weather a couple of weeks back. Finally.
- I've sewn quite a few items of clothing over the weekend, extending their life span.

And you have reminded me to do that! Thank-you
-Charging phone at work
-Have done quite a few YouGov surveys recently and points are now upto 3100. I think I'm still another year away from my £50 though.
-Did a shop at Sainsburys last night with my 'spend £20 and get £4 off' voucher.
-Ensured I activated relevant nectar offers on iphone before I shopped - Nectar points are now at £30 which can be used towards xmas party food or pressies I guess.
-Am going to a Halloween party this weekend so have sorted out some bits that I already have that I can use (Am being boring and going as a Witch - although I have ordered some Wicked Witch tights off ebay). For my reluctant partner I bought him an Inflatable Frankenstein Head from Sainsburys £3.75. It looks brilliant! I've just got to persuade him to paint his face green.........
-Making a huge pot of curry tonight with left-over veg. That will give me tonights dinner and some other portions for the freezer.
-Read the meters
-Got phone bill and relieved to find that payment is not going up and am still slightly in credit despite me making 2 calls to the US and also for continually forgetting that Evenings don't start until 7pm (the world according to BT). Must try harder with that one.
One down-point:-
-My normally security-obsessed partner stuffed up Saturday AM. He took a phonecall from someone whilst at my house who said they were following up on a survey and he gave them all sorts of details thinking he was helping me achieve points or something! No! I've never given my number out. Fortunately they quickly realised that there is nothing of any value in my house.....My TV is a 10 year Schnieder set from Asda LOL0 -
So far today;

1 laundry product to test.
