    pink poppy, saving £73 a month is good going, thats £876 a year ;).

    shala , I got the free bread coupon too , going to asda tonight to use it. Where did you get your ice cream voucher from ? my kids love icecream but I try to buy whatever is on offer.
    Well done in the John Lewis shop , that was a challange ,lol.

  • Just paid another 2k off this month! Reduces the repayment by around £13 a month.

    Am aiming to save around £700 per month now.W're happy with the level of savings we have so now absolutely everything spare can be chucked at the mortgage.

    Got over the £200 mark in my £2 coin jar.

    Saved the details of 4 dvds on music magpie. Didn't realise you had to have a minimum of 10 in order to sell, will have a rifle through the dvd cupboard later, I'm sure we can find some more we never watch!

    Over the last couple of days I have -

    Received a £15 John Lewis/Waitrose voucher as a small work bonus :)

    Also received a My Waitrose card in the post; I must be on a mailing list. There's also vouchers for a free 3m roll of Xmas wrapping paper and a free bag of liquorice allsorts so off there at the weekend, park my car for free, do some Xmas shopping and pick up freebie Waitrose items on way back :D

    62p Asda price guarantee voucher lol

    Sorted out a few small Xmas presents thanks to the Grabbit board :)

    eaten meals from storecupboard :)
    Got some lovely sausages at reduced price £2 for 12!
    £ expenses claimed
    keep checking tcb - £8ish still to claim!
    swapped clubcard vouchers for rewards and will use pizza express vouchers when eating out next week :)

    Not so good...
    bought a meal deal at work ...
    paid for parking a couple of times ...
    suckered in by buying reduced halloween treats we dont really need! ;)
    traffic and bad planning meant a bit of wasted petrol on way home from work!!
  • Having a "use up" week of food, so been making use of tins of stuff...
    Have lowered our tins from own brand to economy, as yet no real difference...
    Charged my phone and laptop this week to save me doing it at home!
    Installed British Gas app to my phone to help me monitor my gas and electricity usage, easier than on a laptop (or so I think in my utopian world)

    3 small things, nothing major.
    Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved
    September 2016 - Back into clearing a mortgage - Was due to be paid off in 32 years in March 2047 -
    April 2018 down to 28.00 months vs 30.04 months at normal payment.
    Predicted mortgage clearing 03/2047 - now looking at 02/2045

    Aims: 1) To pay off mortgage within 20 years - 2037

    Today I did my food shop online and saved £20 by only buying 'necessary' food items as I am going to be using up what I already have stored in the freezer and cupboards.

    • Transferred £100 to Halifax for my very first overpayment :D:D:D
    • Freebie box of cereal worth £2 delivered to my house
    • £5 Halifax reward
    • Walked to the shop which meant only buying what I could carry back
    • DD2's trick or treat haul means I don't have to buy any goodies for a while
    mirry, I hadn't thought to work out how much it would be over the year ~ funny how £876 a year sounds so much better than £73 a month!! :D

    • managed to resist the urge to go and do grocery shopping...took a loaf out of the freezer and am being "inventive" with tomorrows lunches instead
    • Checked shop and scan..£22.50 in my account :j
    • Managed to get a ink refill for my printer for £3.40 off ebay...the last HP one i bought cost almost £20. Now i will be able to print out all the money off coupons that are available :D
    • Have been keeping my eye on a lamp in argos for the conservatory for ages...reserved it tonight as there is 25% off all lighting...saving £10
    • Received an email to say i had another £5.50 of clubcard vouchers on their way to me...was planning to use them on nappies in the double up promotion but their not included this time:(....did try potty training DD on monday again but it went disasterously, so i am leaving it till after xmas.
    • Checked halifax online and they have paid the £5 reward into both accounts :j

    Today I have;

    - Sorted my niece's Christmas present more or less (Peppa Pig backpack (£5) and umbrella (£4) from Aldi.) Will fill backpack with more Poundland Peppa Pig stuff at the weekend.

    - Got a couple of nice bottles of red whilst in Aldi for my dad's Christmas hamper.

    - Printed off the free loaf of Hovis and Ginger Beer vouchers from this weeks MSE email.

    - Used a £5 off a £20 spend plus free delivery and got a couple more Christmas presents from Superdrug, via TCB.

    - Also got a couple of mini fleece blankets from The Entertainer, £1 each. One for niece, one for an Operation Christmas Child shoebox I'm currently doing.

    - Tea from freezer plus took out portion of chilli to defrost for tomorrow's tea.

    I WILL have all my Christmas shopping done by the end of this month :rudolf:
