  • We have shaved so much off everything there is little else to be done. Although we have managed to get rid of one car as my job has changed so I can get the train to work (which work pay for). All I have to do is cycle to the station, only three miles but it's up a flippin massive hill. Week one done though so really happy with the savings (saves us £100 a month) and the effect it appears to behaving on my legs!!
  • Not strictly money saving, but..

    a) I bought a load of pepper and chilli seeds (for next year), which will mean we have loads of peppers in a years time. Yum!

    b) Had a money off voucher for birthday to go to the theatre- which we spent today, booking tickets for a few weeks time. Cost us, but the voucher made a big difference - it's a bit of a treat - that's how we're viewing it.

3)book to list on amazon later
4)cash cards out of wallet so cant spend money I dont have till payday!

Back from hols and been paid since i went. It's 11th of the month and I've hardly spend anything yet apart from bills, just a few things from Mr S to get me through the week.

£8.71 became payable from TCB whilst away, plus £9.83 from Quanti, £2.70 from Cashinbag and £2.66 from Ecasher. Withdrew all into bank today. £10.25 from Panelbase has also appeared in bank too.

Done any remaining surveys in email inbox.

Early night ready for work tomorrow - bbooooooo!

    Recently I have:
    • submitted shop&scan, so £1.10 there
    • sold a radio on ebay for £41!!:j (it was 8 years old so had no idea it would fetch that much!)
    • Abandoned an idea I had for favours at my wedding which would have cost more than the alternative (which isn't "no favours", just making them more simple to do)
    • bought three corn-on-the-cob for £1 at a farm shop - I love corn and bargains! Also bought apples for apple crumble, and they were a bargain too :D
    • Have a mystery shop to do today too.
    • ETA: Just finished a GFK Media Usage Survey to qualify for my £5!

    So far:

Got hair cut by ex Tony & Guy hairdresser for who came to the house for only £10, not only saved salon prices but petrol too.

£10 Next Shop and Scan voucher
£10 Waterstones vouchers as a present to my mums friend who helps me out childcare from time to time, she wont take cash, but I know she likes her books and will take a voucher.

Moc £1 for an Asda shop.
Set up £100 a month standing order as an overpayment on the BTL.
