Did a shop at Tesco for myself & my Dad using a £9 off a £60 shop voucher that was printed off the last time I was there. Wouldn't have spent that much myself so was :j

Got another £9 off a £60 shop voucher printout at the till ~ thinking of using that one to stock up on Christmas wine ~ I'm planning ahead :D

Also got the 5p off a litre of petrol :D

    Bought the M&S meat deal (3 for £10) saving £5.97 :D

    I had a NSD today :)

Out of interest if you just had a DD leave your account would you consider that a NSD?

    Yesterday ~ made 45p on OP & £1.00 on VO :D

Today ~ hoping for a NSD, making quesedillas concoction for dinner with out-of-date tortillas (family will be blissfully unaware of this fact :p) & leftover HM chilli, rescued some clementines from DH who was about to put them in the bin because they'd been in the fridge for a couple (or 4!!) weeks ~ I'm sure they'll be fine!!

The last few weeks have been ridiculously spendy so now that everyone is back at work/college/school I'm going to sort through our finances & sort out meal plans/shopping lists etc.

Popped into the Bank yesterday to enquire about the fixed rate ending ~ I should get a letter soon but I'll automatically go onto SVR ~ can't wait to find out how much less we will be paying (& therefore how much we are able to overpay) ~ hope I'm not too disappointed!! :rotfl:

    Me again :o

Got a letter from the Halifax to say I'll be on SVR (currently 3.5%) from beginning of November. I've been on the MFW calculator & I think my mortgage payment will go down approximately £83 per month :D Can't wait to start making overpaymentss!! Woohoo :j

    Small things today ~
    • NSD
    • chopped & froze some peppers & lemons that had been languishing in the fridge a bit too long
    • used the lemon net bag to scrub last night's moussaka dish (or moose ka ka according to my kids ~ a 'Friends' reference apparently, not to do with my cooking skills!!:rotfl:)
    • took a small portion out of the leftover chilli we're having tonight for kids to have with a baked potato one night ~ it doesn't have kidney beans in atm (DH doesn't like them) so will add them whenever they have it & that will pad the small amount of chilli out nicely ;)
    • Hung the washing out to dry ~ lovely breezy day today
    • OP survey 15p ~ this is actually the third time I've done this particular survey & I've got 15p each time ~ hope they don't take it back off me when/if they realise!!
    • Couple of hours gardening ~ free exercise & I want to get the garden tidy before our local Council stops collecting garden waste for the winter, saving me petrol going to the tip in the car :D

And it's me again... :o Think I must have frightened everybody else off!! :rotfl:

Oh well, I'll just have to chatter to myself :p

    Small things today ~
    • 65p on OP ~ could have earned another 20p but it was the same survey I'd done earlier ~ for some reason they keep duplicating them
    • Had a couple of the rescued clementines from yesterday for my lunch ~ perfectly edible
    • Freezer contents inventory undertaken ~ had forgotten all about a bag of mediterranean veg I bought months ago so will use that to make a few portions of pasta sauce ~ will have to blitz it so DH doesn't see what's in it ~ ignorance is bliss as they say!! ;)
    • Been playing with the MFW calculator to see how many years I could take off the mortgage term when I start overpaying ~ could be 4 or 5 ~ roll on November & please, please Bank of England, keep those interest rates low for me!! :D

I've been MIA for a while as work has been so manic (which is good!) but I have managed recently to:
    • Earn £15 by doing a 3-parter mysurvey survey
    • kept up (for the most part) my swagbucks clicks
    • enjoyed lots of freebies from the freebies board on here
    • claimed two lots of £10 from Vivatic last month
    • done several mystery shops (including a theme park!!)
Must try harder and get back into the groove with surveys etc now work has quietened down a little. Quite excited to see some bargain bridesmaid dresses on ebay, so may come in dramatically under budget on them!
