  • Mooc- very moneysaving idea there!! :rotfl:

Not so MF in that I bought some wine to take to a friend whose doing dinner on Friday ...also bought a coffee out yesterday and 2 boxes of chocolates as thank you presents!
Also booked holiday and bought some other house stuff that is now sitting on c/card waiting till 3 weeks time when I get paid- ooops!! ;)

Other than that , this week have been eating from meal plan , taking in pack lunches (and resisting out to lunch invites- hence the coffee!!)

Have tried to drive a bit more carefully as otherwise petrol could just about cost £60 ish a week!! Its awful if I think about it too much!

Bought some clothes I needed with a free voucher and also a 20% off code - and a couple of presents for my stash also with vouchers ..

hmmm....all this seems to be to do with spending money tho! doh! :rotfl:

    Today I:

    * went to Mr M for petrol and points
    * got lots of bargains in Mr M - on their BOGOF deals so DH now has another 8 cans of tuna plus we have 2x pesto, 6 x beans etc etc
    * scanned my shopping when I unpacked
    * worked very hard! (look, I'm trying to fill the list, OK? ;))

Oh, and yesterday I bought flowers for DM via TCB so around £2 cashback and another £2 off with a TCB voucher code!
Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.

Only small things for me but I'm getting there:
    - Did my shopping at Mr M not Mr A, and took advantage of some of the 2 for offers and tried out a few basics instead of brands - have to say the peanut butter is a keeper
    - Printed out my Council Tax bill so I can get my travel allowance at work
    - Found £1 in the communal washing machine, which will cover most of tomorrow's lunch
    - Avoided the chocolate bars in work - maybe i should start a pot for the 50ps I protect this way and maybe add a £1 everytime my weight loss is helped by it.
  • So far this week I have:-
    • Taken packed lunch to work every day this week
    • Sold some things on Ebay
    • Worn the same pair of trousers to work every day this week (really think they ought to go in the wash tonight!)
    • Ran out of foundation but found some tinted moisturiser from last year in the back of my drawer - saves me from buying more and no nasty rashes yet!
    Keep it up everyone!
    Emergency Savings Fund - £1100
    2015 Mortgage overpayments = £

MOOC I am so pleased for you. Paying off the mortgage.........thats's amazing!!!

    I am sooooooooo envious :D

Been reading up on loads of threads and have picked up a few new ideas.

After the price rise of gas and electric I have been going through the get ready for winter thread.

I am off to list some things on Ebay...........

I have three packs of plastic ham to use by tomorrow any ideas?

if i were trying to use up ham - pizza, tomato based pasta sauce, omlette, quiche.

Trying to be a money saver, but was tempted into the shops again this morning for food after inviting DS1s little friend for lunch tomorrow. If it were my brood they would make do with what we have in, but you feel like you must make an effort with other peoples children don't you.

Doing my OP now. Then will check for other surveys after getting DS from nursery in a bit.
