Hi Emz, good news on your new hospital ok its not nice but at least your getting care!

Good for you on the exercise, I would love a Wiifit but havent got much space for it. Im more into running but that is quite a high impact form of exercise! But youll be amazed at how quickly you get fit! :p

And your health comes first so good for you! But have you tried comps for a Macbook?

There's no way I could do running at the moment, I have trouble walking :o. About 10 years ago, I belonged to a gym and I used to love the rowing machine. Think the Wii Fit will be cheaper than that though.

I do enter the odd comp for a Macbook, but there aren't that many around - it's usually for iPads at the moment.

In which case I would say the Wii fit would be good then, as it has plenty of variety on slower paced stuff for building up on.

We also have Just Dance 2 - that's great fun and definitely a bit sweatier than the Wii fit. The Zumba is quite good too.

Have you tried ebay for a second hand one or are they still fairly expensive?

Grim on the hospital front. It is good the staff want to improve your condition tho, just not really great surroundings.

I need to research these flipping Amazon Vouchers, I want a Wii Fit etc too! but can't quite justify the price when I should be saving for a house or indeed Ch*******S

Not the C word  - I've got 2 little ones to buy for now (although, I won't get much for Kian as hasn't got a clue what's going on anyway).

The hospital is really bad in terms of the actual building. You walk in and it's literally like a shopping centre (seriously, there's even a jewellery shop!!), but when you get to the hospital part, it is so run-down.

I did think about getting a second hand one, but then I would have to spend some money on it, when I could save up my Amazon vouchers and get one for free. At least Amazon is the cheapest to buy it brand new.

    Hi everyone

Back from my holiday. Although, it wasn't really a holiday. More like the 6 days from hell. Why? OH's parents came with us, that's why!!

It was decided a couple of days before that they would come too. I was not happy about it whatsoever, but OH kept saying they had never been to Spain and the only time they have been on a plane is when they went to Jersey etc etc. So, more fool me, I agreed reluctantly.

Now, I hate them more than before and I never want to see them again. I have made it clear to OH that I won't ever go on holiday with them again and it will be a very long time before I will go away with OH again, just in case they decide to tag along.

They moaned the whole time. 'It's too hot', 'There are too many flies', 'These pillows are flat' etc etc. I know I bought it on myself and should have been firm and said no.

Anyway, better go. The problem is, they are still here!! In my flat, sleeping in my bed . We got back late last night/this morning so they stayed over. I haven't had a decent night's sleep in a week now. Thank god they are going home soon. As for me, I'm going to escape to my mum's ASAP.

Thanks Buffy. I kind of feel like I bought it on myself. I never learn.

I think OH is taking them out for breakfast, so I will make my escape then and not come back until this evening.

I've heard such things described as haemorrhoid holidays - no matter where you go or what you do, there's a nagging pain in your arrse...

Definitely a haemorrhoid holiday ZTD. I tried to get some time to myself quite often, but they were like glue.

It was really bad Lou, but I'm going to try and put it out of my mind for good. They have gone now and I won't ever make the mistake of going on holiday with them EVER again.

A couple of things I took from the holiday were that I don't want to end up like them, moaning and groaning about every little thing. They walk around with such a glum expression and have a really negative outlook on life in general. So positive, positive, positive thinking only from now on.

The other thing I learnt is that I don't want to be dependant on anyone. On day one of the holiday, OH's father said to him 'Does Em ever pay for anything?'. OH told me and said if he gave me some Euros, could I just pay for a meal for all of them just to shut his dad up!! I was so angry and immediately changed some money into Euros and proceeded to pay for myself only. I ate the cheapest thing on the menu all week and made sure that nobody had to pay for anything for me at all. He found out that I knew what he said and didn't apologise or anything. OH told me not to take it to heart, but what the hell was I supposed to do with a comment like that?

So now I am going to be totally independent. Buying my own food, paying for my own clothes, not going on holiday unless I can afford it. Nothing on credit and nothing lent by other people. That will show that miserable interfering old ******

Okay, positive from now on :D
