OH and I have spent the day cleaning the flat. Done quite a good job. He has gone round his mate's now though. I think he is afraid I will get him to do more housework!!

Bad day on the sporting front. First Andy Murray lost to Nadal and then Man Utd lost to Man City. Plus Pompey lost and Southampton won . Rubbish rubbish rubbish. :(:(:(:(:(

Think I am going to sit in bed and read once BGT is over.

    Morning all

It was a lovely day yesterday, sunny and hot on the south coast. My sister and I took my niece to a party. She had a good time and even won a prize in musical bumps (thanks to a little help from her auntie and mummy :rotfl: - hey, all's fair in love and musical bumps ;)).

Off to the library this afternoon to get some new books. My niece always comes with me and chooses some books too. It means that she gets a bit of variety at bedtime (as do her mum and dad).

I've got a week left of being 29 :(. I'm trying to look at it positively. My nurse said to me last week that I should celebrate, as a lot of other people with CF would have loved to make it to 30, but sadly didn't.

I'm going to be splurging on eBay next week with my birthday money. I need some new clothes, and Jane Norman stuff is so much cheaper on eBay. I'm going to try not to waste it though. I usually get around £100 for my birthday so that can hopefully get the clothes I need for the rest of the year.

    See you all later.

    Hi everyone

Quick one from me today. OH's parents are down. They have been here for less than 24 hours and yet I still felt the need to come over to my mum's to get away.

They came in, plonked themselves down on my sofa (so OH and I were relegated to beanbags) and proceeded to moan about how uncomfortable the sofa is (it's not at all - it's one of those big plush chenille sofas that you can just sink into - not suitable for older people who have problems getting up). Then they moaned that there was no coffee (we don't drink it) and that they had to sleep on our mattress as we still don't have a bed (we had to sleep on an air mattress which was flipping uncomfortable). I wanted to them that it's not a hotel and there is one down the road if they want to check in. Managed to stop myself. Then we had to watch a god-awful film because his dad wanted too.

Feel better now I have gotten that off my chest :). They are going home tomorrow morning, thank goodness. They just completely take over MY home when they come down and yet when we go up there, we still have to sleep on the uncomfortable sofa bed and watch rubbish TV. Talk about double standards.

Anyway, be back tomorrow when hopefully I'm in a better mood!!

Feel better now!! Just withdrawn £25 from a bingo site for nothing. I signed up for it a couple of days ago for some Pigsback points. It said that you had to gamble the free £5 they gave to get the points, so I did but kept on winning. By the time I had gambled the £5 the required 10 times, I was £25 up and eligible to withdraw it. So that should be in my bank in 3-5 working days :j. Won't get the Pigsback points, but £25 is a hell of a lot better.

I should also be getting the £5 through for the phone that I sent off shortly, so I've got a nice £30 for nothing :D.

    Hey Buffy

I hope you are well. I'm glad you have realised who I am. It means I can post on your diary without you thinking 'who the hell is that?' :rotfl:

Yep, I do BP and My Survey. I got the £5 voucher last night from BP.

Will pop over to your diary later.

Well, the (sort of) in-laws go home today. I slept awfully again last night on that damn airbed. Plus they didn't go to bed until about 11.30pm as they were watching the original Pelham 123. Then I got into a debate about remakes with OH's dad (he says they always ruin them, I say they are good as they update the film for a new generation). Then I had to get up at 6.10am to take OH to the station.

They are staying until just after lunchtime, but I have to leave at 10.30am as I'm looking after my niece.

Got my £5 through from the mobile phone this morning. I also stopped in at my friend's house last night and she gave me my birthday present (think it's a Debenhams gift voucher) and a blanket that she knitted for my sister's baby. I want to do a hamper for her as a baby gift, so need to try and do it as cheaply as possible. The blanket will go in the bottom of the hamper.

I can hear movement in the bedroom. Be back later.
