Sorry to hear about your clinic being closed. Those reckless bankers really have a lot to answer for!!! How funny you talking about Pompey and Southampton. That's where I grew up. I have to agree with you about the shops. I went to Commercial Road at Christmas and the shopping isn't that great though I love Gunwharf.
How is the flylady cleaning routine going?
xx
Hi Rock Cakes
I know, I hate to admit it but that is the one (and only) way that Southampton is better than Pompey - shopping. I don't go to Commerical Road much at all now. I like Gunwharf, although the area surrounding it is really rough.
The Flylady routine kind of came to a halt. OH's parents are staying for a few days from Monday, so OH and I are going to blitz the flat at the weekend and from then on, I will keep on top of the cleaning through the Flylady thread. At least the kitchen is still spotless.

I actually think that watching kid's TV all day can drive someone insane. Dora the !!!!!!!! Explorer is the worst one.
Anyway, I have been keeping an eye on One Poll over the past few days, and I am now only £9.30 from getting a £40 redeem :j:j. I really want to start paying my mum back some of the money I owe her, as she is struggling due to losing my dad's pension this year. Even if I can manage to give her £100 back a month then it would help her and mean I was still clearing my debts. So the £40 will go to her when I get it. I'm aiming for £31 by the end of the day.
Also just done a survey for 100 Nectar points and a Pinecone survey so will have £3 Luncheon vouchers coming through soon.

Hi everyone
Looking after my niece again this afternoon - she's being picked up in 30 minutes. Kid's TV
My One Poll account currently stands at £31.85. My aim is to claim the £40 by my birthday (Easter Monday). I also got another £3 of Luncheon vouchers through yesterday which were for a survey I had forgotten.
I was thinking of the goals I need to achieve at the moment. My main one is to get the bed from Amazon using free vouchers. My OH seriously doesn't think that I can do it, so I need to prove him wrong. I still only have £50 towards it - need another £150.
I also want to pay my mum back. I don't want her to struggle and I'm sure that paying back her nest egg will help her feel less stressed about money. So any money that I can save will go back to her and after I have paid her back, I will pay the £265 I owe on her Halifax card so that I know it's just my debts that I have to pay back and she is no longer involved.
See you all later

I know, it was a big shock. I feel more sorry for the patients who have to go there every week though. At least I only have to go every couple of months.
I'm due to change my car in April 2012. I will probably get another Fiesta as they are good value for money on the scheme. You can get a top of the range Fiesta for £200 compared to a mid-range Toyota Yaris for over £1k!! Just doesn't make sense.
I hope you are well.

Maybe they have come down a bit. I think that the 1.0l ones were quite cheap, but I wouldn't be able to handle that. I came down from 1.6l to 1.4l on my current car. I'm going to have a look around at the beginning of 2012. I used to have a Yaris (04 reg) which was beautiful. I called him JJ (his reg ended with UJJ). He was mine though and I sold him when I got my first motability car in 2006. It was a decision ruled by my head and not my heart - I still miss JJ (my OH thinks I am very very sad!!).

(just got over the £32 mark on One Poll - only £7.95 to go).

Hi Elantan
I seriously hope they don't take the motability cars away either - I certainly can't afford to buy a car!! I think if I can get my next car, then they won't be able to cancel the contract while it's running, so I would have a car until at least 2015 (IYSWIM).
On the films front, I saw Morning Glory a few weeks ago (quite good, one of those uplifting films) and also No Strings Attached (ok, but wouldn't be bothered about seeing again). I am going to literally force my OH to come and see Source Code with me next week. I love Jake Gyllenhaal and it's supposed to be really good.
Have you seen any new ones recently?
