They do go over most of the Midlands. Have a look at the website

"Sarah" is really helpfull. She is also on Twitter, so you could follow her on there.
I have had a grand sort out of all my beads and findings. Made a massive order on Ebay last night. I will have to wait a while for it all to come though, as it was a lot cheaper to source items from China/Hong Kong.
I have been busy today. I friend called me first thing in a panic...she needed a birthday present "today". So I made her a lovely crystal watch.
My back to school bag tags are proving popular too with the children at my sons school...a few more orders today :jSlimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

Hello all,
Im needing to re-stock my jewellery making supplies and was wondering where everyone thinks is the best place to get things that are good quality but not too expensive. I notice quite a few people get things from China/Hong Kong and wondered if anyone could recommend a specific seller?
I really want to make some angel charms to go on bookmarks and charm bracelets so need to get supplies to make those
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi Tori,
I use a few ebay sellers for semi prescious beads. for others, glass, plastics etc I usually look at beads unlimited or one of the other big online stores.
what were you looking for?:)0 -
Thanks for the reply!
I'm looking for a few things really.....
Tear drop beads and silver wings to make my angels with
Clasps for handbag charms
Jump rings
Chain to make handbag charms with (needs to not be too flimsy but not too think either)
Some chunky beads
Ive got a big pile of ribbons next to me and trying to get some insperation as to what to do with them, they're all thin and about 10" long, but my inspiration seems to have left me today......Time to get things sorted once and for all......0 -

What a fab thread, loads of lovely jewellery being made. Can I ask what you thread your beads onto for the chidren's bracelets and necklaces. I'm a card maker, but just found a stash of beads that I could use for necklaces etc, but have no idea what to use as the 'thread base'. Also what size beads have you used for the main part of the items.
Thanks for any help.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
Hi,
I use 0.6mm clear elastic and double it over...thread the beads (4-8mm) and letters on then double knot the ends together and dab a bit of super-glue in the knot, then quickly slip a bead over the knot (if that makes sense).
I have had a few special orders to complete today.....No time for telly tonight.
I hope my friend likes the items.

loves2shop - I personally got into it by doing a short evening class at my local college, but since then I have picked loads of skills up from books, and tutorials online. don't underestimate your local library, I was really (pleasantly) surprised to find so many books on it in my local one. Learning the skills is the easy bit, sourcing beads and findings that are nice, good quality, but inexpensive is the tricky bit
.
shiprob - hope you don't mind me asking about the charm bracelet - the bracelet itself, did you buy it like that or have you used extra-big jump rings over ordinary chain? I just use chunky chain for mine but sometimes I think some of my designs would benefit from the bracelet itself looking chunkier and although I've seen that type of bracelet I've not come across any tutorial as to how to acheive that kind of look. thanks, sorry to be a pain:rotfl: Em xx :rotfl:0
