Just added your Folksy shop to my favourites - you have some lovely jewellery!
  • Hi, i have also added you RachyD to my favs on folksy. Could some one please give me some advice on the photos you put on folksy, as mine are pants. Also how do you get multiple photos on.x
  • the daisies are easy enough - on that particular one the daisies are 8 frosted white seed beads size 8/0, and two gold seebeads size 11/0 (couldn't find anything size 8/0 suitable or I would have just used one of them). I threaded on nymo with a beading needle, what you do is thread your 8 white ones on, then take the needle back through the first seed bead creating a loop. Then thread on the 2 yellow beads, then take the needle through the 4th white bead round and the yellow beads should sit in the middle of your loop and hopefully look like a flower (it sometimes takes a bit of tugging about to get the white ones to look more circular and less of a splat - or that could just be me lol). Then you can carry on threading whatever else you're doing.

I threaded the bracelet two seed beads wide by corssing over the needle between the two on each row, purely because I thought if a little one is wearing it, it's a bit stronger with two beads than one and less likely to snap half way around Asda and trigger off the mother of all tantrums (again, that could just be my little darlings :) )

I've also done "daisies" in yellows reds blues and greens, threaded with black seed beads with a green seed bead either side of the flower - it's quite a retro 70s type look but a friend of mine went mad for it because of that.

  • Morning all. I am very excited. Off to a bead sale today at a local village hall.
I normally buy all my stuff online, no decent craft shops round here, even though I live in a major city in the Midlands.
It will be great to see the products before I purchase them.
I have a long shopping list. Will let you know how I get on later :-)
