There is still an excellent chance of you getting a settlement before the date, or they just wont turn up to court (you win by default).
My advice now is to read up everything you can so you are sure in your mind about your case. Read your court pack a few times so that if any points come up, you know exactly where to refer to straight away. Look at the banks defence, and address it point by point.
You will very likely not need to get this far, but it is worth being prepared now. The one case won by Natwest in court was partly through the claimant not being fully prepared. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Yes input each charge into the calculator with the date and it will automatically work out the interest.
Many thanks for the advice. Think I'll go ahead with adding the interest.0 -

Does anyone know anymore info about this particluar case that lost? Im going to be reclaiming my Natwest charges of around £3000 very shortly, and was feeling confident until I saw that someone had lost!0 -

This is nothing to worry about. It was a case early last year. Natwest used a defence they haven't repeated since (we are aware of it now, and it is easily rebutted). Every case since then Natwest have paid out before a hearing. If you follow the steps carefully, your chances of success are very high (about 99.9%).
It is not worth worrying about the points in one case so long ago when the bank aren't using this tactic anymore. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Hi everyone,
Natwest shut my account last Jan and I still owe £940 from a 2k overdraft. Where do I stand in claiming back bank charges - cos I know there were a LOT clocked up over the past 6 years!!!!
Can I still claim as an ex Natwest customer who had their account closed? A reserve cashcard account I have is still active but I can only pay into it online/over the counter and I just haven't used it.0 -
Wow. 5 months. unbelievable.
you're Not going to court folks. you WILL get paid.
I think NW's policy onthis is to pass every case on to their solicitors, and being solicitors, they use all the tactics they can.
dragging it out, earlier offer of 50%.... until their hand is ABSOLUTELY forced, they will not pay out. luckily, my local court gave them no option.
What u could do is write to the court pointing out wht mine did by quoting my case.
If u want to PM me, I could give u the details.
Keep the faith.Claiming against Nationwide £2500Others to come!0 -

You can claim on a closed account, however they will probably expect any reclaim to pay off any debt still owed.0
