Hi
I have followed the steps layed out on the site obtaining charges, then I requested my charges using the two template letters, the last one threatening court action. Natwest have point blank refused twice saying that their charges are within fair trading limits. Can someone advise me on my next step?
Cheers in advance0 -
When were the charges levied?0

Al within the last year and a half. Although they are all £12 charges totalling £296. Do you think I should pursue it? Other people have received their £12 charges back havn't they?0
-
Have they?
If they have said no your next option is the small claims court. Do you want to pursue this - your costs won't be recovered if you lose.0 -
I am just looking into this as my charges are £25.00 per going over and I have always got the money in another account. £12.00 sounds very fair compared to £25.00. I think that the aim of the court case is to make the banks be fairer.0

£12 has never been a legal amount, merely the amount in which the OFT will not take action on(CREDIT CARDS not PCA's). It has no basis in law and no bank when pursued to court have actually been able to justify that cost. THe aim of the court case is whether the banks can charge the amount they do. Let's not confuse Credit Cards with Personal Current accounts.0

Hi All,
I`m currently putting together my charges and fees from Natwest Bank. I phoned them to send me a copy of all my statements for the last 6 years - no problem there. However, in one of the charges it does not say what it is for. I phoned them to ask and they said it was part account fee and part unauthorised over overdraft fee. How am I going to separate all of these charges for the last 6 years!!?? Please if any one has had a similar experience post some advice!
Many thanks,
Benson0 -
