I gave them 14 days to reply to me, and they did with this letter.
So i should wait the 7 weeks?
Did either of you claim from Natwest?
I'm claiming around £4600.0 -
I sent my Natwest Bank Branch in Newcastle a template letter reclaiming bank charges. I recieved the following curt response with (no salutation or sign off or name from person responsible for sending):
With reference to your request concerning any ‘manual intervention’ to the administrative charges debited, these charges have been processed in accordance with the terms and conditions of our current agreement with you as a result of activity on your account. In the event that you breach the terms and conditions, we will take the appropriate action, contacting customers when appropriate, or handling customer enquiries regarding their account status. When a customer has raised a concern in relation to this process, the decision will be communicated to the customer and where appropriate noted on the account.fficeffice" />

Grateful for comments or advice from others??:o

This sounds like they are avoiding the question.
What you really want to know is have any of the charges you've incurred required an employee of the bank to perform any tasks in relation to consideration or processing of the task.
You could press them about this further if you wanted and ask them to explicity declare any such actions.
If they were to withold this information and then produce some kind of manual intervention evidence in court, the judge may not look very favourably upon their behaviour.0 -

Hi guys
I am about to send Martins letter to NatWest to ask for 6 years worth of statements. What address do I sent it to ??0 -
I sent mine only to my branch by recorded post. I put six years of charges plus interest which totalled nearly £3000.
I heard nothing for two weeks so sent another letter with a note on the bottom that I was now owed another £5 something for the interest over those two weeks also.
I got a phone call two days later from branch saying head office were dealing with it.
Got a letter two weeks later offering me all my charges back but no interest and I accepted.0 -
I renctley asked Barclays for my six years worth of statements, which i was owed £1650 from, i sent the letter asking for it back and today they replyed by saying, they have logged my complaint and when the test case has been decided by the courts they will then inform me and let me know wether i can claim or not, and they said they have asked the small courts not to deal with any claims regarding bank charges until the high courts have made their decsion, has anyone else had this from their banks, especially Barclay customers.
