Hi,
Just wondering if I can claim my interest back on my unauthorised overdraft facility which Natwest, charge me each month.
Each month I pay 2.9% around £5 and also each month for the same account I pay 29.9% around £50.

Hi Princessmaia
I had heard that they can decide to close your account and this worried me before claiming.
I did open another account just in case but as it turned out, once they put the lump into my account they just left me alone!
I imagine that if they insist that you have your wages put into an rbs acount then they can't just close it. They can't do anything that efects your employment with them, else they will leave themselve open to a lawsuit0 -

Some new info for all of the natwest claimant who use online banking. They are soon to announce a change in the Terms and Conditions in which statement information for the last 7 years will be made available and not 6 months as it stands today.
Any letter sent to the branch re Charges will be sent onto the Customer Service Response Unit which Offord has mentioned on post 20 -
I logged onto internet banking today and found out that I had been charged £38 for a returned direct debit, even though it would have made me a £1 overdrawn. Natwest didn't let me know, send me a letter or notify me about this and returned the direct debit for £14.99. I rang them today and asked for a reason for this extortionate charge and they told me that they could charge this as I went over my limit. They also said that they didn't have to explain the charges, that they were in their right to charge this amount. Then he went on to say that they were going to charge me an extra £28 for going over my limit as well. I went ballistic!!!!! He eventually said that he would not charge the £28 but the £38 still stands. He was really up himself. He eventually gave me an email address to write to customer.relations@natwest.com. I have emailed them but had no reply. Does anyone have any similar situation or experience and any advice as to what to do regarding this. It's the first time I have been overdrawn accidently, but they didn't want to know.0

The bank may refund you once if this has happened but if it happens again they will decline any refunds. It does sound to me as though you may have had a charge in the past in which case the bank does not inform you further and will bounce Direct Debits and/or Standing Orders. Was a small overdraft offered for these slight errors re the amount that it went into the red?0

hi
I have an advantage gold account with natwest - extended my overdraft online - 24hrs later i had NO MONEY in it, not extra money due to a computer error - 24hrs later they rectified it and my new overdraft was there -but they called me, were very rude and said i cant afford it (oh yes i can!). so as an exercise i applied again - was accepted bla bla infact i have received 3 confirmation letters with different dates confirming this limit is ok.
they have apologised for being rude, said nothing about taking ALL my money for 24hrs and now want the extra overdraft back freezing my account - it was a `computer error` they say ... what 3 times on 3 different days?????
where do i stand ?
any advice

Unfortunatly not, an Overdraft is repayble on demand for all of us, do like I did and walk with your feet, now with A+L0

Hi, is there any news on when the online statements will be going back 7 years? I want to put a claim in under the hardship rules but don't want to pay the £10 if I don't have to.
thanks0
