Only the Sun and moon know who is doing what at Nat West Just follow the templates and timetables itis easy forus who have had a settlement to say this. I know and I was just as worried.I had no response for months The times ( few) that I got through by phone no one knew anything and I got a differing response to others on this site.
Eventually I got a defence from Cobett's to my Court Claim ( basically no chance)and another letter containing an offer on the same day.I wrote acepting and on the same Friday that I was told by phone that they had not received this and 'no knowledge 'on the sytsem The money was depositedonmy account .So keep at it0 -
Cobbetts are on a nice little earner, dealing with all these claims against Natwest. Hope they're charging them nice fat fees

Pam. Any more news yet. Have you got a court date yet for instance .Though you know you will prob not have to go.My cliam was deemed served late April About a month prior to your date They defended on the last day approx 25 May. I got a Cobetts letter and a 2nd letter separatly on 28th MaY. I got a court letter yesterday 5th June re transfer of proceedings to local court ( crossed with my withdrawal)I would assume if it had coninued that I woiuld not have got a date for at least another two weeks and this may have been for up to 2 months hence
Dont know if anyone has gone ,with Nat West , as far as up to the court 'door'0 -
When you claim against the bank do you write to your local branch or the head office?
You can write to your branch or the customer relations address which is

Natwest Bank

I think all the letters end up in the same place although i did get told some were being dealt with at the Edinburgh department. The story so far...
Received bank statements,
Sent total charges plus interest to bank,
Received a PHONE CALL asking for my sort code and said they would be in touch with a claim shortly,
Received a letter today which says:
"We are currently considering your claim. Given the work involved in assessing your claim, we anticipate that we will be in a position to respond within 6-7 weeks, but will endeavour to do so sooner if we are able to."
!!!
It's not been well over 14 days since I sent the request - more like 30.
Should I just proceed with the next step?
Stick to the timescales set out in Martins letter and proceed with YOUR timescales not theirs.
The 6-7 weeks they have told you are what they are saying you will receive a response in although with them being inundated it may be longer than this like mine was.LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -
Please help me someone. I have sent two letters the same to Natwest asking for my money and they have replied to one stating they are dealing with my request so I sent another asking again for my money back and they are ignoring me. This was about 3 weeks ago. Please can you advise what I do next?! Thanks:mad:
I never heard anything at all from Natwest during my claim no acknowledgement letter or anything. The best thing to do is stick to the timescales set out on this site.
I dont think you claiming interest has anything to do with you not receiving a response, they have so many people claiming the whole process is taking weeks hence them saying it will be the 8 weeks 56 days timescale!LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -

Hi chaps,
had my court case transfered about 2months ago. (from Northampton)
Have also had a preliminary50% offer which i declined from the bank.
Also asked to provide details of the charges which i did directly to Natwest's solicitors.
Only thing is its been bout 2months and i havent heard anything from my local court?
Can it take this long? Has my claim been lost in the system?
Is there anyway to check with Northampton court to verify its gone to the right place?
help. now panicking..0 -
Another success guys...wanted to post it here because this is where I got all my help!
First letter posted 26 March.
Second letter posted two weeks later.
Both recorded delivery and both to branch + head office.
Rec'd offer 1 day short of the 8 weeks which I refused.
Phoned again because had other issues with my branch. They reviewed my case immediately. They would not pay interest. They knocked off charges they thought were not applicable and also refused the 2 years that went over the 'permitted' 6.
I rec'd a revised offer on Friday 1st June. Returned it recorded delivery immediately.
RECEIVED FULL PAYMENT TODAY!
For the Natwest employees monitoring this site, as previously stated, my freedom of speech remains intact as does my ability to take this case further. I signed my acceptance 'Without prejudice' and my reserved rights are about to be implemented!!
Also, as previously stated, this was never about money (although I am delighted to have it now), the banks need to be punished.
GORDON BROWN ought to be crucified for allowing this to happen and continue happening.
As for NATWEST paperwork in future...I will file it under 'F' for buckit! (sic).0 -
I have received a defense from Natwest from Corbetts basically dismissing my claim on the grounds of "lack of particularity" which i assume is back up of my claim?
I rang Corbetts who basically told me i have to write to them and tell them the legal basis of my claim and also send a copy of that letter to my local county court.
So what do i have to write? I am confused.
I have 2 days to send them a letter and i am unsure what i have to tell them.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.
Thankyou:D0
