  • We have taken 3 months to get to the stage now where we have had to issue a summons and its now been acknowledged by the Bank. We have to wait till 30th January as they have 28 days, they received the summons on the 2nd Jan....Happy new Year. We kept being topld by everyone else who had been successful, "dont worry once they get s summons they will pay up", just our luck to have to take it this far. Wish us luck!!! amount claimed is 2800.00.

I have finally got a response from Natwest, I sent of the first letter and they made me an offer which I declined, I then sent the second letter threatening court action, I herd nothing for weeks until today, I filed a claim online with the courts on Tuesday and in came a letter today from Nawest dated the 5th apologising for the delay in responding and that they are looking into the matter. Is this just a coincidence? If not what happens next

Seeing as you've issued a court claim. Just deal with them through the court. they will have to respond to the court now if they want to enter a defence.

Made my claim 28/12/06, was deemed to be served 02/01/07 and was aknowledged 05/01/07.

I assume I will now hear from cobbets/natwest? Anyone else been this far? What happens now?

I got past the allocation questionnaire stage (the next stage for you) with Natwest before they sent a cheque for the whole amount (including interest and court fee).

So just fill out the AQ (as per your post in the sticky) and send it off (is there an extra fee for this?) and then wait until the 30th of Jan?

If your claim is over £1500, you need to send £100 more. It will tell you this with the AQ. Just wait to hear from the court now.

Completed and posted my Allocation Questionnaire with £100 today to the county court.

Can anyone advise if I need to respond to the solicotor's - cobbets/natwest letter aswell. They are requesting information and asking if it is basically my fault that I have incurred charged.

The info and the legal stuff mentioned in there defence seems very confusing !!! - can anyone advise any websites that may assist if I do need to reply.

    Thank you.

I am just about to start a claim with Nat West, can someone help me, do I write to the branch I have the account with or the head office?

Can I ask on average how long does it take for those who have been successful to get their refund?

Has anyone had their accounts closed by Nat West after the claim has been settled.

Does anyone know if it will affect my credit rating?

    Many Thanks

    Sue

Just done the first letter to Natwest asking them to refund £520, sent it today, so they've now got 14 days to reply, I've already got a STEP a/c - this is the a/c I'm asking for the refund on, problem is what happens if/when they pay out - will they close the a/c where can I get another a/c cos my credit file is not good
