Hi well finally after 9 weeks I have received my bank statements today. Sent my original letter at the beg of March followed up with calls to the branch and promises from staff to reorder them. Still nothing, then a letter to Edinburgh giving them 7 days still nothing. So finally last thursday rang this number 0845 600 2803 and spoke to a nice lady there, she said she would get them to me in 7 days and they arrived today on the 7th day. So if anyone having problems try ringing this number.
Just been adding up charges and it comes to £1900, so my letter will be going off tomorrow. Just one thing does it go to the Borehamwood address.
Thanks Sheila0 -
Well, I walkd into the Swanley branch at 4pm found one member of staff working - to be honest he was leaning back in his chair chewing his pen! I gave him a opy of my ,etter dated 4nd April, pointed out it had been signed for on the 4th and since then I have been given the run around by staff who dont know what they are doing and syaff hanging up on me at customer services.
He made a quick phone call to ask someone what he should do. Then tapped on his computer and scratched his head. Next he ask why I only wanted to claim back six years, o I replied OK I'll go bacl the ten year the account was open. He printed off a few sheets of paper and went off to fax them.
When he returned he said that he had spoken to the office dealing with the refunds and they would not only give me priority to get all my dtatements out to me but would waive the fee for doing so!
This si supposed to be taking a few days - I shant hold my breath!
But it may be worth folk going to their branch and seeing if things can be speeded up.
Good luck

Im so fed up ive rang a few times everytime i get a different story today i got told that i havent even got an offer - i got told last week i had an offer made back in march!!
They told me i should get my letter in the 7th week also which is early next week and they have up till the 18th may to respond - no they dont cos my date for court proceedings is before that.
Im so sick of the way they pick and choose who to send offers to nothing makes sense they are not working to any kind of system and im sick of getting fobbed off all the time!
Im gonna send my claim to court (even got to borrow the money to do that) but im so p***ed off now ive totally had enough
well done mate!
I am getting slightly peed off too now. i think i will give them till wednesday and if i hear nothing then Fo for me (and a small matter of a court letter)
i am sick with one fob off after the other.....all i want is my bloody money back!Debt Free Plan In Progress! , Natwest Loan £5,552.12, Littlewoods Account £1,184.95, Barclaycard £458.43

The money went in!!!!!!!!
Purly because i told them some fibs on the phone! hahaha
I was told it would definatly be in today, checked the bank this morning and nothing!
Called at 10am was left on hold for 45 mins!!!! Finally answered and was told it should be in tomorrow. I said i had a recorded call stating that it would be in today and i was going to forward it to the FO, sligh porkie on my part, Anyways he put me on hold came back and said it may go in today. Got off the phone checked the bank and hey presto £1008 in the account!
They will quite happily fob you off unless you out your foot down! I used to tell them before all of my calls 'i have to tell you for legal reasons this call is being recorded' and they tend not to bulls*it you so much!0 -

Quick Questions
1 - How long does the process usually take to get all of your money back from sending the first letter requesting charges?
2 - Do Natwest force you to clost the account when you have got the money back or is this really rare?
3 - If you have a personal loan with them can they force you to pay what you still owe in full?
4 - Are overdraft facility's taken away if you reclaim your charges?
5 - Can the same process be used with credit cards, and are all letters sent to 60 South Gyle Crecent, Edinburgh?
Thanks in Advance.....0 -

Your guess is as good as mine - it seems to be some sort of lottery no method in it whatsoever. I sent my letter back in March and nothing some people sent theirs last week and have had offers its a disgrace!
Dont think so not as far as im aware but lots of people have opened another account just incase - up to you really ive got to the point where im not arsed it will take them ages to get their overdraft back off me anyway so couldnt care less what they do!!
Dont think so again i think this would be against some sort of rule. Think there are answers to things like this on the main front page.
Again dont think so.
You can claim your credit card charges back the same (look at the sticky help reclaim bank charges thread on the reclaiming bank charges thread at the top all addresses and info is in there) Alot of people myself have sent to customer relations address at Borehamwood.
Hope this helps and if you need anything else theres always someone on this board who have answers to your questions good luck!LBM - April 2007Claimed back my bank charges from Natwest - £1196Halifax Credit Card Claiming £467.35 Rec £467.35!/Capital One Card Claiming - £523.92/Barclaycard Claiming - £403.58 Rec £403.58/MBNA Claiming - £584.37 Rec£584.37Proud to be dealing with my debtsUpdate: 2009 - Currently claiming £1900 from Natwest0 -
okay, yesterday was there last day for the taking court action, but can't afford to take them court yet, so here i am again waiting for the postman to see if i have any good news(doubt it) really really fed up with all of this, the waiting, the no response, the different things you get told on the telephone, and even the e mails(even though they don't e mail?????) time is going so slow, hope this makes sense, just finished night shift. been looking on the success stories and that isn't even cheering me up, just wish nasty west would get themselves sorted out. they just seem to pick people out of a hat as to who they will pay.....0
