Hello,
I wrote a letter (used the first template letter from this site) asking for my statements with all my charges on the 15th of February 2007.
I added in a cheque of £10 for the statutory charge and they took this money from my account on the 30th of March 2007, but did not and still have not received my bank statements
What should I do now as it has been well over 2 months, and coming upto 3 months.
...Anyone?0 -
Ravster If i were you i think i would go staight into my local branch with proof of the cheque being cashed and demand that they get your statements by the end of the week. I'm sure that i have read on this thread somewhere that someone went into there local branch and actually came back out with them. Or you could get intouch with FO which deals with problems if the bank has not got in touch with you in 8 weeks. there web address is https://www.financialombudsman.org.uk. If you visit that there is a telephone number on there so you could ring them too. They should sort it out for you. I'm sure they speed things up too! It must be really frustrating for you:mad:0

So that would be £5 per account I assume !? I have some of my statements but of course it is far easier for Natwest to tell me what they owe me ! In fact I would prefer them to tell me how much they owe me rather than trawl through all my statements, has anyone done it this way ?
I would contact them, as they set me a standard letter saying £5.00 per account/accounts. RBS sent exactly the same form and this was for 2 accounts and I only sent them £5.00 for both.0 -
hia all
i was just about to send my third letter given them 7 days or ill go the MCOL when a letter arrived to day saying
'Thank you for your recent letter regarding charges applied to your account.
we are currently investigating your claim and will respond to you as soon as possible'
is this another delay tactic to which i should send my next letter or should i wait, if so, how long does it usually take to investigate a claim?
many thanx0 -
yes... i too received an e mail today from that ghost at natwest, stating they are unindated...aaahhhhhhh. and they will try and deal with my claim as soon as possible, then...... i get another e mail today stating they have 56 days, well sorry but they don,t have 56 days, they have 1 day left..
what goes up... must come down, including my emotions, and even better my overdraft.......... here we come NATWEST0 -
I would carry on with mcol they are just delaying. keep to your timescales and dont let the bank dictate to you as i've said earlier today where in control not the banks you call the shots.
