    Thanks,

Yeah its my first letter that I'm waiting on a reply from, so if I don't get the answer I need from them now, I'll send the second :D

Yep just stick to the timescales set and you should be ok - see what they say when you ring them good luck :)

  • Hi everyone,

Just thought I would say hi - I am about to send my 14 days to court letter to NatWest tomorrow, having received nothing but the "We are considering your case, please wait" response to the first.

I am claiming £4,792 for the past 6 years before interest, so wish me luck.

    Jim.

Use calendar days, it's still more time than the bank would probably give you if the shoe was on the other foot!

  • I am also claiming back off Natwest for £910 since 2001. I am all up for doing it. The only thing that is holding me back is that I am in the process of purchasing my first house. In order to do this, I have to borrow £10,000 in the form of a bank loan from, you've guessed it, Natwest. I have tried to get the loan with several other companies, but they cannot offer me what I need due to my poor credit history. The only reason they are able to offer me the loan is that my mum is a valued business customer with them, and her bank manager is doing a personal favour to her in borrowing me the money.

I am worried that if I do go ahead with the claim, that they could ask for me to pay the loan back or add aditional interest. However, this is £900 we are talking about, which, for me, is a lot of money! What do I do? I have not actually recieved the loan yet, but I am at the stage whereby I need to send the second letter requesting the money so that it os done within 14 days? Has anybody out there been in a similar situation? Have you made the claim against a bank when you have a loan/mortgage with them?

Any response would be of great interest.

i have used the 0800154212 number and they just lie lie lie make it up send you round the houses then lie some more. I was reccomended by this site to use the 08453030456 number and they do seem better at their job (at the very least seem to appear to know what they are doing) Yesterday sent a fax to the 02082368010 and got a confirmatory phone call later that day to get the ball rolling . My advice would be to avoid the 0800 number as it is about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe

    Good luck
