  • sorry to keep on , but i have finally got through to customer sevices, and the nice polite man (yes polite man) said that the fas has given them 56 days to reply to the letters, i also sent my 1st letter to my local branch on the 5th april, he said he didn't receive it there until the 12th of april which is 7 days into the claim, would it be better to send direct to tem then. he appeared to be a bit tonque tied when i explained that a 2nd letter was sent on the 26th april and i was sticking to my 14 days, ad if i had not had a reply then i would be contacting financial ombudsman, is this correct.
  • I need some serious moral support here!

I sent all of the letters off to the Nat West a couple of months ago and deadline after deadline passed with no response from the bankers! I rang them to make sure that they had received all of my letters and they informed me that they had but that due to the large volume of claims that it was going to take about a month for a response. (My heart bleeds for the poor overworked parasites!)

Undeterred, I pressed on and it's now at the stage where yesterday I went onto the HMCS website and started the court proceedings. It's under 5k by the way!

I'm just really worried that something is going to go wrong!

I need reassuring that other people have taken it this far without hearing anything from the bank and had success from it!

    Please tell me good things!!!!!!!

i am sticking to my deadlines, see my response below, i have had no replies as yet.....
  • Have you heard of anyone that's been completely blanked like us and still got all of their money back?

That would be a great weight off my mind!

i have now been on hold to customer service for 40 mins (is there a record for how long yet) i just wondered is it best to post letters for claims or e mail customers relations direct

Try 0845 3030 456 this number was on the top of my offer letter & I've also seen it posted on this thread although I've never used it.

Don't swear....you said the ironing word

Well i rang them yesterday and they have received both letters sent a while ago and was informed they have 8 weeks to respond. I have however stuck to my deadlines and posted and emailed a copy of the letter saying i am going to make a claim within 14 days. From what ive read on here we are doing right by sticking to our deadlines and the banks are just fobbing people off!

I sent my letters to the customer care address in manchester and the borehamwood address. You can email them too on customer.relations@natwest.com and someone has posted a fax number also on this thread just incase!
