Hi Rex, received the Allocation Questionnaire today and found info on this site on how to complete - so I think i'm OK !!!

Concerned about court fees - i.e having to pay more than the £100 that I need to send with the AQ.

Where and when do I ask the Judge to order Standard Disclosure ?
and what does this exactly mean ?

Spoke to the court this morning and asked if I needed to respond to the solicitor's letter seperatley, I don't think they were really that sure - I was told that they were not qualified to advise me but they thought it would be best too.

The info and the legal stuff mentioned in there defence seems very confusing !!! - can anyone advise any websites that may assist.

    Thank you.
  • Just so you guys are aware, any letters re Data Protection Act ie SAR go to the Gogarburn address In Edinburgh and Charges Letters to Customer Relations Unit in Borehamwood. They have their own notes system which branch staff, telephony and Lending have no access to in any shape form or description. I hope the info helps.

Natwest are now charging me for fun...
Since losing my job it has been very difficult and obviously we have gone overdrawn, and do not have an income to clear the overdraft every months now, so we are permenantly over our limit. So far this month the charges are at £628 and I do not know what to do next, my husbands wages go in next Friday (£1149), but our overdraft is at £2600 [Our overdraft is officially £2000], so this will only just bring us under our overdraft to £1451, all our outgoings come to about £830 which would be ok if we didn't have all these charges. We have a new bank account set up but was not enough time to get the wages paid to the new account.

Any advice on how we can avoid mor charges.... We cannot afford for more charges and we are sure to get some as there will not be enough money to cover our direct debits due out on the 15th of Jan

    We are desperate.

Have sent letter to Natwest yesterday threatening court action, 7 days falls next Wednesday to take them to court if no response.

    Any advice would be great....

    Thanks

i need help i have hand deleried the letter to the bank on the day of your apperance on bbc in december but they have not responed yet i have put in a claim for £112 for charges ( it may not be a lot but for some one on benerfit it is a alot ) but been on benerfit i can not afford to pay the £250 for the court action as it said on the breakfast program what do i do please ? if they is any body can help please help and i have been charged another £38 on the 31.12.06 great new year with half of my benefit gone so can i claim that back as well.

If you haven't had a reply from your first letter go on to the next letter and add in the most recent charges.

If your enquiry was rejected, deemed invalid or you didn't receive a response, write to inform it that you’ll be taking court action if it doesn’t settle. In many ways this is a repeat of step three, but in more militant fashion. Include a strict limit of the time you give it to respond. Some people skip this step, but it’s often worth a shot, as if it works it saves actually having to start the court process.

    Hi folks

Just to say that now NatWest have filed a defence to my claim and have sent the scary request for information.

I'm not sure whether to reply to this or not. Any thoughts?

I've also got the court allocation questionnaire. It says for amounts over £1500 I should send £100. But I'm claiming less. Does this mean send nothing???

You're also given the option of going along the one month postponement for settlement route. Is this a good idea?

    Your comments will be appreciated!

I sent my first letter off to Natwest yester requesting details of charges I have incurred. Trouble is this is my only bank account and I have a £2000 overdraft (in use) and £4000 left to pay on a loan with them. They won't demand I repay the money will they?
I know I sound paranoid just think perhaps I should have thought about my position with the bank more before claiming.
Anyone have any advice or comments please
