I rang natwest yesterday and today to give them 1 last chance to respond before I start MCOL tomorrow. Spoke to the same man Steven who told me to stop ringing as ringing every day will not make any difference ( might just ring everday now as free phone number ) I did point out to him that Natwest debt collectors unidebt Had no problem contacting me demanding the £3000 I owe them even though Natwest owe me in excess of £7000. And if they can contact me demanding money why could I not contact them demanding my money. I think Natwest are sick of me ( well I was sick of them when I was jobless six months pregnant and getting more and more into debt with their charges and making me take out loans to pay off overdroughts) Anyway I contacted debt management after and they have put unidebt on hold for 1 month. Although they will carry on charging me interest.

I to have been ringing every day. I know it will make no difference but i know it annoys them. And the past few days ive rung in the morning and afternoon just like they did when my daughter was 3 weeks old. They havnt told me to stop calling but i think they are getting sick of me :rotfl:
When i owed them a measley £100 they hounded me for weeks until i was forced to take the money from my daughters fund (which i paid back 8 weeks later :-)..) as they wouldnt accept instalments and would not stop adding interest!
About time they had a taste of their own medicene!!0 -

Just found an extremely helpful article over at www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk, that really goes through the whole process. You can read it here
It covers filling out the form online and the claim timetable :-
Claim Timetable:
Your claim will generally be deemed served 5 days after filing . The deemed date of service will be on the Notice of Issue sent to you by the court.
The bank will have 14 days from the deemed date of service to acknowledge. If they do, a Notice of Acknowledgement will be sent to you
The bank will then have an additional 14 days in which to file a defence, ie a total of 28 days from the deemed date of service.
Once the bank has filed a defence, your claim will be transferred to your local court who will send you a copy of their defence and an Allocation Questionnaire which you fill in and return within 14 days.
All timescales are calendar days, should the due date fall on a weekend/ bank holiday, they have until the next working day.

Hi i would appreciate some help. My brother wants to start his claim with the Natwest.
I looked in the which address thread but there were two different addresses given for which to apply for statements for.
I would like to know the NatWest address for where to ask for your statements and your second letter etc.
I would also like any helpful contact numbers that you may have so that things can be chased up if need be.
Also who do you address your cheque to and how much is it for?

Hi - at this stage, you can write to your local branch. Are you using the template letters in Martin's guide? Everything's explained in there for you. I rang initially for my statements and they charged me £5, but if you write in, you send a cheque for £10 payable to the bank ie Natwest.
Just a word of caution.. send all correspondance by recorded delivery as the banks have a convenient habit of 'losing' correspondance!! It's handy - as I discovered - to have proof that your letters were signed for.

I've convinced my hubby that I should file with MCOL, mainly read YOUR posts to him & backed them up with other people's at the same stage, so thank you & to everyone elseSo, when I have time to sit & concentrate filling the MCOL forms in I can be in "The MCOLier's Club"

Thank you for your advice. I am collecting info for my brother. He does not know much about all this so i was trying to collect details and email him everything he needs to know.
I was wondering if there was a number for customer complaints/service?
Also do know the official address where to send the 14 day letter to?

Edit i have found the contact details now here they are if anybody needs to know them.
Customer Complaints is 08000 154212 I will get my brother to ring through to them and ask for his statements.

Hi Chaps,
Such a stunning day and I'm in office listening to that terrible Natwest hold music.
I've decided to also phone them every day (thanks Katie~Baby). So much easier when I do from work!
Anyhoo, would it be wrong to suggest to NW that instead of the full £2900 that I'm claiming for that they pay me back £2300 on the proviso that my current loan of £493.10 and the outstanding £128.33 be cleared?
